When did you last laugh so much you cried?

My partner has just sent me a link and it’s absolutely killed me. I’m sat on my own, laughing so hard (but quietly not to wake my child) that I have tears rolling down my face. It’s been years since I laughed this much!

When did you last laugh like this?

I can't recall the thing that set me off exactly but I know it was my small child, we were both gone with laughter and I was having to try to catch my breath!

Would you send the link that set you off, so I can try to recreate this feeling?@UpUpUpU

I laugh loads on Tik Tok. I know, I’m 51 need to grow up but I need a good laugh every day and TT always does it for me.

TilTok is funny and I laugh everyday at something, most recently the Australian break dancing

LifeIsGreatForUnicorns · 12/08/2024 22:17

On holiday with friends - can’t even remember what it was over 🤣

mambojambodothetango · 12/08/2024 22:17

Today. I had hiccups and DH was trying to help me get rid of them by getting me to join in his martial arts form (to concentrate on something else). I couldn't get it at all and found it all rather amusing. Got rid of my hiccups though!

coolcahuna · 12/08/2024 22:17

I laughed my head off at the Australian ' break dancer' and then just last week my partners son had me in absolute fits of laughter 😃

UpUpUpU · 12/08/2024 22:17

i can’t send the link as it’s naughty but think of us having a competition to find the weirdest things on Temu. It wasn’t the item (which was a monstrosity!) but the badly translated wording that killed me 😂😂

Going trampolining with my DP, DC’s and their partners, for my 58th birthday.

Funniest ever, especially my DP whose body seemed to bounce at a different time to the rest of him.

We all just laughed and laughed throughout.

MonsteraMama · 12/08/2024 22:25

I frequently suffer from the kind of giggling fits that you just can't stop no matter how hard you try. Most recent one was caused by my husband mispronouncing Lucozade a few days ago while very earnestly asking if I wanted one for my upset stomach.

Lu-co-ZAR-day

I nearly had a stroke I was laughing so hard, dunno why, just got me in the funny bone.

LunaNorth · 12/08/2024 22:28

Mine’s weird, but I just couldn’t stop laughing at the time.

I practice yoga and have an inversion stool in my bedroom. I really do try to meditate and stay calm and grounded these days, but a few nights ago I got up in the small hours for a wee and managed to stub my toe on the stool.

I woke DH up with the commotion and he asked me what I’d done, and I explained that I’d ‘stubbed my toe on the FUCKING yoga stool!’ I was fuming.

Then for some reason my lack of zen acceptance really tickled me and I laughed until I cried.

Poor DH. He’s very patient.

Really properly - about ten years ago. My Mum and I had gone on a caravan holiday with my dd aged 6 and my Mum took her two little dogs along. My Mum had never seen the inbetweeners before so when dd went to bed we sat there and watched it together on the little 14ins Tv (it was a really crappy old caravan) and we had a few gin and tonics, we got a little tipsy. Then my Mums little dogs needed to go out for a wee in the outside fenced off garden outside the caravan so we had to pick them up and carry them down the steps and let them have a wee. For some reason we found this absolutely hilarious and neither of us could stop laughing as we passed these tiny Yorkshire terriers down the steps to each other. I genuinely couldn’t breathe for laughing. We were trying to be super quiet so we didn’t wake dd up either so we were sshhhing each other and that made it even funnier. Dd slept through it.

Last night when I was flicking through the channels at my parents' house and came across this movie. The title and description just utterly cracked me up.

Brie?

Darkdiamond · 12/08/2024 22:38

Out for dinner with my husband a few nights ago and he reminded me of how a delivery guy once gave me my food and kissed me on the cheek as he did so, about 15 years ago. The way he said it was hilarious and we both were crying. I had a mouthful of food and was trying not to choke but couldn't stop laughing.

When Claire in "Derry Girls" came out as a lesbian and Erin asked if that meant she fancied girls.

"Well, that's sort of an entry level requirement!"

Funniest line in the whole show!

MaMisled · 12/08/2024 22:41

2 weeks ago with my 2 grown daughters. They make me laugh til I cant breathe and I swear they'll kill me one day!

Fredblog · 12/08/2024 22:42

Watched Wolf of Wall Street a month or so ago for first time with OH.. haven't properly laughed like that in so long, maybe years. Tears streaming, belly hurting kind of laughing 😃

I had to Google yoga inversion stool. Yeah, right, that's used for yoga.... Pull the other one 😉

DelilahBucket · 12/08/2024 22:43

Last weekend at a family gathering. We always have a laugh and invariably I end up with tears streaming down my face!

Bluebellsinthewind · 12/08/2024 22:43

Yesterday reading a thread on here. I actually couldn't move, tears streaming down my face 🤣🤣🤣

I didn’t say it was only for yoga 😉

What was the thread? It’s years since MN has done that to me. I used to howl on here.

ladygoingGaga · 12/08/2024 22:46

i was rolling round when my two year old nephew came for a sleepover.
Innocently proclaiming he had his “fork and knife” except his cute toddler voice it sounded exactly like “my fucking knife”
being the responsible aunt I corrected him - nope! I immediately fell about laughing and filmed him so he just kept repeating it!

Opine · 12/08/2024 22:46

The Australian break dancer and the many piss take memes and videos that are popping up by the hour.

funnyoldonion · 12/08/2024 22:46

Tonight with my 10 year old daughter - she has the same silly humour as me and we were absolutely creasing as I’m teaching her to knit and I wouldn’t let her make a difficult pattern she’s not ready for she wafted a fart at me but it was just the indignant look on her face and the deadpan stare that got me then we were setting each other off!
