What colour is your bedroom?

Need to redecorate our bedroom. Would love to get more inspiration. If you recently redecorated- what colour did you pick? We used to have F&B smoke room green but not sure if that's overdone really. Lounge/kitchen is taupe.

Ours is a rather boring cream - I like the idea of pale lilac, really restful!

ItchySwissRoll · 10/08/2024 11:41

F&B Dead salmon, calm, warm and restful.
Not my photo but took inspiration from it.

I can't remember what colour ours is officially, but it's a neutral somewhere between a creamy sand colour and a very milky coffee. It's very restful!

We’ve got this this mural behind the bed and the walls are F&B Sulking Room Pink. It’s really cosy.

2chocolateoranges · 10/08/2024 11:45

ours is white, with mustard and grey accessories eg lampshade, cushions, brows.
its very calming. I love my bedroom.

I love sunflowers so took that as my inspiration for accessories.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 10/08/2024 11:47

Darkish grey with teal accessories but once we redo house next year I think I’ll go much lighter colour. Lilac sounds really nice! I want something warm and cosy.

Magnolia. Really boring but it's rented and the landlord insisted on repainting most of the house with it last year. Except for the bathroom which is still dentist waiting room green, with patches of exposed plaster where the house was rewired.

Dulux heritage Oxford Blue on every wall, DH had major first coat fear but I love it. It's really cosy and cocooning, and art looks great against it

Magnolia. It's a rented house.

Denim Drift - I find it very restful

For those who went for Magnolia or pinkish colours - what colour curtains did you pick?

I second Denim Drift!

LoneHydrangea · 10/08/2024 11:56

F&B Wimborne White. Every room in our house is a F&B white apart from the ds loo.

Nannyfannybanny · 10/08/2024 11:57

White walls furniture floor. After 30 years nights, rubbish sleep, tried lots of different books by qualified medical professionals, including the lovely Dr Mosley. In the end, nick littlehays, sleep coach for the GB cycling team, sleep hygiene to the max.... apart from the fact that he says you should only have a bed in your bedroom, I don't have room anywhere else for clothes. I add colour with pictures, accessories, cushions.

Devilsmommy · 10/08/2024 11:59

Black wallpaper with red roses and silver leaves, charcoal curtains and blue grey flooring

Honourspren · 10/08/2024 11:59

A light blue with white furniture. I once read somewhere that blue is mentally calming.

DappledThings · 10/08/2024 12:02

Craig and Rose Flanders Blue.

I only find proper colours restful. White/Magnolia/all those beige/greige non-colours make me feel tense

Ours too! We love it

We decided to go dark because the rest of our house is light and airy, so it's a very deep forest green with industrial decor and gold accents. Never had a dark bedroom before, never slept better since we did it!

Mailys · 10/08/2024 12:07

Joanna by the little Greene paint company. Warm and calm. Will be using it in more rooms!

GameOfJones · 10/08/2024 12:08

Dulux Sapphire Salute on every wall. I had to be brave but the best thing we did was to go for strong paint colours in our house. It feels cozy and has personality. Plus it's only paint, simple enough to change if you need to!

We've got white wooden bedside tables and wardrobes and a very pale pink duvet and pillows which looks great against the blue. Picture to show you the colour, sadly not my room.

White double wardrobe but the rest is cream wallpaper with birds and pink roses. I love it - makes me happy.

Mine is white. DH doesn't "do" colours or wallpaper. I prefer to have whacky furniture and duvet covers instead.
My bedroom furniture is currently grey, which was a mistake as it's a depressing colour. It's getting bashed a lot by the children, therefore at some point I can sand, prime and paint/decoupage it to something brighter.
I love the idea of patterned wallpaper, especially if it incorporates nature, outdoorsy animal themes. A different thread they were talking about a F&B pink paint and it looked lovely. Can't remember name of it.

Toooldforthis36 · 10/08/2024 12:25

F&b -pigeon, love it.
