Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just finishing my first cuppa, in my kitchen spot, before I move to get my tablets. I usually leave my box on the table for the morning but I forgot last night 🙄

It's our city's Pride festival today, so we're going to head out to that shortly, for a few hours in the sunshine. I'll send my Vinted parcels on the way.

We need some food for the kittens on the way home, so we'll stop off for that and some salad for tea, at Lidl. I think we'll have quiche with the salad 😋

This evening it'll be an early shower and early night for me, ready to face Meadowhall to hunt for new school trousers for dd2 tomorrow <yay>

Waiting for an Iceland order, then off for a few hours sleep. Busy night shift.

I have 4 pairs of trousers to turn up. Husband lies in till lunch on Saturdays.

When he gets up we all go out for lunch then we will come home and they will watch olympics while I potter round doing jobs.

Im sitting in the garden centre cafe while my car is serviced in the garage next door. I’ve got coffee and toast. A book. A crossword book. Air pods. It’s bliss!!

Once the car is done Im going to have a nosey at the middle aisle in Aldi then going to see my DPs.

Should get home around the same time DH will be home from work this afternoon so will probably take the dog for a long walk together.

No idea what the DCs are doing but at least one of them will be working.

Paella for dinner later and lots of Kdramas to watch.

We are on holiday, a weekend in Hexham! Sun is shining, so all good.

Good morning @lucysmam and followers, it’s cloudy here and I’ve just got back from walking the dog. I met a friend so the two dogs chased around like loons.
I have a pile of ironing to sort out and then I will probably start some needlework I think.
I have a bad neck and shoulders so I’m going to find a hot water bottle and sit for a bit with a coffee.
I have no idea what we’re eating today, I will have a forage in the fridge and freezer.

I had to google where Hexham is @ssd 🙈 Looks like an interesting place! Have a fab weekend.

Good morning lucysmam & everyone. So look forward to these threads & the Sunday one. Still in bed. Made a cuppa for DH who is starting work later than usual but didn’t fancy one myself. I’ll get up & at ‘em soon. DD15 is unexpectedly at her GF’s, due back early evening. I’ll check my shopping list & decide whether to do the food shop today or leave it til Monday. Looks like we may not have sun today but yesterday started off grey & damp then turned lovely ☀️😎☀️ Waiting to hear back from someone who was very keen yesterday to buy a lot of my stuff for sale on FB Marketplace. I was chuffed as some of it has been on there ages. I let them know the postage, which isn’t much, and haven’t heard anything since. Hopefully it will all go ahead as I could do with the money. Going to sit with DM this afternoon. Bangers, mash & peas for tea with sausage gravy.

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone else. Just sat in my balcony with a coffee. We are on holiday in Spain. It's a bit cloudy this morning but is supposed to burn off at lunch. Three out of the four kids are sleeping still.
Might see if dh fancies a walk and a coffee in peace. Had a huge row with eldest dd last night and feeling about fragile after it.

Dh and the boys are going to watch United and city later think I will read my book on the beach of the sun comes out.

DC and I have just returned from a week of camping. They are at their dad's for the weekend and I am currently lying in bed procrastinating having a cup of tea.
Loads of washing to do and I need to sort out the gazebo because it was wet when I took it down.
Really considering going back to sleep for a couple of hours! Dreading my return to work on Monday. I am currently awaiting a decision as to the future of my role and time is ticking so I need to get my head down and start contingency planning.

Have already walked out dog, and been and fed the boss's cat
Work till 5,30. Go and feed the cat again then home
Eldest working this evening, youngest no idea and DH will do the food shop and watch the Olympics

Ds8 is currently very poorly, been in hostipal yesterday as he caught a nasty virus and his type one diabetes decided to have a meltdown. Luckily home but still very poorly been up every half hour of the night with him.

So today is nursing him, trying to catch some sleep & some house work as I threw everything around trying to grab stuff as an ambulance was called out for him. 😅
Also meant to be packing for our hoilday next week to see family but not sure if that's on the cards with ds8!

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone! I’ve started a day of pottering with purpose. Been to post office, vets and charity shop. Now got beds and washing to sort, then the kitchen needs a deep clean. The rest of the house needs attention too, but one step at a time. We’ve had a week (or 2…) of doing the bare minimum and everything is a bit grubby looking round the edges. Plan is work today and play tomorrow! Have a wonderful day MN!

I’m still in bed! I’m going to the gym later to do some weights. Then done cleaning / chores before heading off to the pub. Not very exciting but that’s what I need after a busy few days.

Busy morning for me being taxi to various extended family and now about to grab breakfast in the local cafe. It’s attached to the playground so DS will get a bit of a run around.

Off to a board game gathering for the rest of the day, hoping to play some nerdy games and eat good food + snacks!

Planning to ignore the growing laundry pile til the last possible minute tonight.

DH is on nightshift so I'll be flaking out on the couch with a gin later and watching the rest of Bridgerton.

Just back from a lovely week in North Devon.. first wash on.. not planning much more today.. ooh and I accidentally ordered a dress while away which will be delivered this morning

Just finishing swimming lessons (have finally managed to get all 3 DC into lessons at almost the same time!!) then we'll return out library books / pick some new ones and go to the park.

Home for lunch and maybe just a canal walk this afternoon. Although we will hit another park. Oldest DC is coming to the end of "park" age so I'm making the most.

Fajitas for dinner, film later. Nice and easy day.

Waiting for taxi to take us to Cruise Terminal for a Norwegian Fjords cruise. Very excited 😝

I've done a few practical things like putting washing up away, tidying, ironing, putting things aside for work tomorrow. About to have coffee. Going for to a small family BBQ at lunchtime which should be good. Hopefully watching some of the Olympics later.

Meeting a friend for lunch and a wander around a craft fayre (I'm getting old..)

Just about to make my 2nd cup of coffee. Then jumping in the shower and getting prettied up for my friend's birthday afternoon tea in her garden later.

Tonight, DH will be glued to the Olympics so I will start a really lovely new cross stitch which arrived from Etsy yesterday. Then I will go to bed early with my book. God I love being middle aged.

Good morning everyone, just me and dd10 in the house this morning. Dh and dd19 are at work and dd17 stayed at her girlfriend’s sister’s house last night and isn’t back yet.

I’ve just got back from my Slimming World group (lost 2lb - yay) and I’m now waiting for the Tesco shop to arrive. It needs to hurry up as I’ve no milk and I’m desperate for a cup of tea!

I’ve no real plans for the day but the house needs scrubbing from top to bottom so I’ll make a start on that in a bit and then we’re off out for tea tonight as it was dd17’s birthday yesterday but she went out early and isn’t home until this afternoon so we’re celebrating today instead.

After tea dh is meeting his friends for a few drinks and I’ll bring the girls back and make a few cocktails for them (I won’t be drinking them) and we’ll watch a film then off to bed for me.

Just woke an hour ago and back to work in 2 hours. Issues around the country we are now working 12 hour shifts.

Hoping dh takes kids out today but his car has broken down this week and I need my car for work. No parks in walking distance.
