Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just finishing my first cuppa, in my kitchen spot, before I move to get my tablets. I usually leave my box on the table for the morning but I forgot last night 🙄

It's our city's Pride festival today, so we're going to head out to that shortly, for a few hours in the sunshine. I'll send my Vinted parcels on the way.

We need some food for the kittens on the way home, so we'll stop off for that and some salad for tea, at Lidl. I think we'll have quiche with the salad 😋

This evening it'll be an early shower and early night for me, ready to face Meadowhall to hunt for new school trousers for dd2 tomorrow <yay>

We're off to our village fate, then got to do a skip run later on. Hopefully a nice meal later with a glass of wine or two.

janx I love “accidentally ordered a dress”. I was online last night & accidentally ordered 3, even though I have loads of new ones!

After quite a big outdoor day on the beach yesterday my DDS are engaged in a massive indoor Barbie session... It started at 7am when they woke up and has only paused for breakfast, teeth and getting dressed. I'm catching up on laundry and sipping coffee whilst scrolling Mumsnet on the sofa. Bliss.

@Hepzibar ooh who did you organise the cruise through? This is on my bucket list.

I am having a slow morning, watching James Martin and inspired to make a fish dish he did for dinner later. I will go for a long walk in the park and stop off somewhere to read my book. It is feeling kind of Autumnal almost here in Scotland.

Just on my way home from some Parkrun tourism. Met my dad for breakfast and saw one of the new Banksy artworks on the way back to the station.
Need to drop off and pick up some Vinted parcels. Need to stop buying so much!
Later am meeting a friend for a long overdue catch up over cocktails.

I should really be doing some housework, but I've had a busy week and went out for cocktails last night and so far I've just laid in bed with tea and my cat scrolling my phone.

I will clean the bathroom and kitchen later but as I'm working at 7.30 tomorrow I've decided today is a day to do the bare minimum and I don't feel bad in the slightest!

My kids have gone for a sleepover with family so I'm waiting to have an hours massage. Tomorrow I will do an open water swim. House work in between

Good morning all - just!

I'm all sticky because I've been casting resin coasters and bookmarks for a charity I volunteer for. I've got 'sticky' everywhere now. My arms, the kitchen, my phone, my clothes. I'm not a very neat crafter!

After lunch, I'm going to upcycle a mirror that I picked up, free from outside someone's house. I'm going to spray the frame black, add some lead strips so it looks like a window, and then put it on the wall at the end of my garden.

I've also got 50kg of shingle to drag up the garden. 200kg so far and it's still not enough to cover a small 2m x 2m patch.

I have been to my dance class and taken DS to his first ever job interview (he's just 16) at a local fish and chip restaurant. He was less than 5 mins, so we aren't very hopeful.
Lunch shortly, and then I need to pop out to get a birthday card and present for my SiL.
Probably fajitas for tea and a few 🍷

I love Hexham, I work there a couple of times a month, one of my happy places.

Morning all! Quite a quiet one for me today. DP went away yesterday with friends so it’s just me in the house. Current plans are to get through mountains of laundry (we had guests staying this week so lots of bedding and towels to wash), make a batch of jam, and finish reading my book. I’m off to join DP on holiday later in the week, so doing some research on where to stay and what to do.

It’s been a busy week with quite high stress levels, so I’m really looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday!

It’s 7am here and I’m catching a long haul flight back to Gatwick! I CANNOT wait to get home to my beautiful country. I’ve been in the US and it’s been a real eye opener for me. And despite the riots back home - the counter protests made front page news here and everyone cheered the British!

So yes, looking forward to a cuppa tea every 10 minutes 😂

Just about the afternoon now, but still excited to read about your cruise @Hepzibar. A quiet day as I have some sort of virus which is making life a bit miserable. I may make some vegetable soup for lunch, I'm at that kind of level.

DH at shops just now. I’m having a up of tea then a Hoover of living room. I’m enjoying my Saturday off. I start a new job on Monday and I'm
excited and nervous. Was at my last job for 20 years so big change for me. New start. Looking forward to it though.

Homemade pizzas for tea tonight and maybe a film.

Good afternoon Lucysmam and others. I'm late today. I was up early, had two coffees and toast and then a cuppa. I stripped the bed, washed the whites and now the tumble dryer is on. The weather here is very changeable so if I hung it out, it would be like the hokey cokey. I met a pal for breakfast and we put the world to rights in two hours.
Later I'll file admin stuff. Steak pie and chips for dinner tonight. Enjoy your day all.

I am currently in town waiting for DH and our two children. I went off to do some shopping/errands alone while he took the children to our local soft play centre for an hour. They now need to meet me to get the children some school uniform/new clothes. Dh looked like he was being dragged to the battle of the somme on the way to soft play and that won't improve with having to look in Primark for new school joggers and vests 😂

Will go for milkshakes after and then home for a chilled afternoon.

As per username, blackberrying has started so been picking, making jelly and blackberry and apple cake for later. Lush!

Morning @lucysmam . Well, afternoon now. I've been to Tesco and I've done my weekly shop. I had lunch and I'm chilling for a few minutes before I hang out my washing and get stuck into cleaning. DD is working and is heading to her boyfriend's house afterwards.

It's a lovely, sunny, afternoon in Ireland what's seldom is wonderful. Hoping the good weather lasts for tomorrow so I can go for a drive/hike somewhere nice.

There's a bottle of Pinot Grigio in the fridge with my name on it. I'm going to get cosy later and watch a movie.

Did 6 hours of overtime this morning and have come home to a sparkly house as DP has done a thorough blitz. TBF he's really good at pulling his weight wrt household chores, but he's gone above and beyond and done the jobs that I was going to do tomorrow so that I "can just relax for the rest of the weekend". This afternoon I may crack on with DD and her DP's wedding present. The wedding isn't until next year, but I'm allowing myself time in case I mess it up and have to start over.

We live in Manchester so drove down to just outside Southampton yesterday. Stayed overnight in a lovely hotel, left our car at the hotel and they arrange transport to port.

Boarding was a breeze (as long as you turn up at your allotted time)
