She’s Brazilian and white, but because she has an accent whilst we were waiting for a taxi a group of very young, around 10-17 year olds white kids spat on her and started shouting fucking horrific abuse.

Police were there within a minute of our call THANK GOD and loads of people on the street stepped in to help, and if you were in Norwich today on Gentleman’s Walk. - THANK YOU for helping.

I cannot believe it has got to this point where my settled status friend is now having to give statements and recover after having a glass of wine and going home. What the fuck is this county?

A family member teaches secondary in a deprived white majority area. She wasn’t in the least surprised about the recent riots racism is endemic in her school. Lots of us myself included live in a bubble of “nice” well educated people and don’t realise.

I think the police haven't helped either with their passive approach. Any little thug watching the far right fascist riots where the police stood back and did nothing will have been emboldened.

It takes these riots for people to finally admit that Britain is racist. I’m sorry for your friend but getting spat on by adults passing me on the street happened several times in my childhood. No minority that has grown up in the UK is surprised by what is happening right now. It’s only the while people who refused to listen when we said that England is racist for years that seem shocked by this. This has been our daily reality knowing that many people in this country hate us for existing in the colour of our skin.

I do hope the police make a real effort to find these children. It shouldn't need much more than showing the photo around the local schools.

I’ve had to point out so many times that ‘illegals’and ‘illegal immigrants’ aren’t taking housing and benefits as they are here illegally avg not exactly wanting to tick up to the authorities and say ‘here I am!’ . Legal migrants are working in many cases and paying tax and Asylum seekers are not allowed to work and get about £40 a week to feed and clothe themselves. Considering the cost of food at the moment I’m surprised they manage.

I’m so saddened to hear this. Tell your friend that there are way more people that find this abhorrent and welcome and value difference.

There is a lot of misinform on SM and young people and mindless idiotic thugs are being riled up and manipulated. I hope they are caught and get the right consequences for their actions. We need to really get to grips with unfettered SM access for young people and for SM platforms to take more responsibility for they allow out there. X and Tik Tok are the worst. Parents need to take more responsibility for what kids have access to. It’s all so fucking depressing.

It doesn’t even have to be about race in this country anymore. Since lockdowns I’ve noticed people are more rude in general, and have no shame in voicing their awful nasty judgements. The most worrying is seeing young children behaving this way, it’s obviously learned behaviour.

My ds got told numerous times to "go back to where he came from" at secondary school. He's white British but just happened to be born in another European country.

Problem is that it wasn't taken seriously because he's British. White British. Therefore there's no crime as such.

I was watching {on video} the Rotherham riots as they unfolded.
A ginger haired white boy was saying:

''Loving it! Best day of me life!''

He must have been all of 8 or 9 years old.

He looked like he really was having great fun...the police were backed against a wall like terrified people.

It was like they didn't know what to do??

Hopefully the police will put the wind up them and they’ll think twice before trying this again.
