Mine's a beautiful Oliver Bonas necklace I bought myself with some birthday money.

I never normally spend so much on jewellery, but decided I wanted something that felt a bit more special. Then I lost it. No idea if I lost it at home or out and about but I tore our house apart looking for it with no luck. It's still not turned up over a year later 😞

I keep checking Vinted and eBay in the vain hope someone might be selling one but no luck so far. Maybe one day I'll find it down the back of the sofa (despite having looked there on many occasions for many lost items)

Has anyone else lost something that they still think about? And has anyone ever found something in the most random place years later? Give me hope please 😁

Also one diamond earring in the last nineties. It was packed amongst boxes in my car when I relocated. When I unpacked on the same day only one was there, Very strange.

@thomasinacat such a sweet story
@FamousFriends such a sad story

I had a Victorian necklace with a pearl drop. Absolutely no idea where it went.

My purse 🙈 with a gd chunk of spending money in it for my holiday with my friend. I left it in the seat pocket on the plane and noticed as soon as we got through to baggage. We got in contact with the airline and someone apparently checked but said it wasn't there 😭 I was only 14 I'm still annoyed that a passenger either took it or the staff did 😟

Other one is an ear pod that I lost just after I got them. Thankfully weren't too expensive. I remember putting them somewhere safe away from my toddler. Think maybe my toddler found them and put them in the bin. They still haven't turned up 3 years later.

Lost my old phone, well the kids lost it. We found it over a year later under the sofa. We had checked there numerous times. We have power recliners and I think it got stuck in the mechanisms without effecting them then eventually dropped down. Lost it again and found it again a week later then finally lost it again still lost 😂

A gold ring that my grandad bought me - I must only have been 8 as he died suddenly the following year. My memory is that it came off my finger as I was washing my hands in the bathroom. My dad took everything in the room to bits because I was so upset, but it was gone forever. I'm 58 now and actually tearing up as I'm typing this.

A fountain pen I got for my confirmation. It had my full name engraved on it. My mum didn't want me to take it to school. I insisted. Of course it was lost / stolen.

Such moving stories.

mine is a bit more mundane- I went to Prague on a girl’s holiday 20 years ago this year. When I returned my tweezers were not in my make up bag and I can only assume I left them in the hotel. I have bought countless ones since but never found some that are just so.
