I would guess that 80% of the "news" I don't give a shit about. In much the same way that no matter how much certain groups bang on about their pet subject won't make me any more interested. I would have thought the outcome of the election would have demonstrated that there are more people like me than not. Because no one I know, or have met, or chatted with at work or socially was worried about "small boats". That was all the media. It's their bedtime fantasy. (That and a glass of milk and they sleep soundly.)

I am sure Farage knows where the libel courts are. Assuming he isn't in the Yaxley-Lennon book of people who can't find a libel lawyer ?

Just looked up the street in Jaywick affected by the fire on Street View. I suspect a lot of those houses were uninsurable (lots of timber and in poor condition) so the occupants really will have lost everything.

I think 3 of them were completely destroyed. But between smoke and water damage I’m guessing a lot of possessions in the other 7 will need replacing.

Audience response sounds like there might only be half a dozen people there, and they disagreed with Liz on whether the lettuce was funny!

At least one of them appears to disagree with her stance on Trump judging by the ‘what!’ near the start.

I don't know why anyone would think Liz Truss has anything worthwhile to say. She's just an ex MP now.
