This one thinks being a child lets him off.

I think that policemans reply needs to be printed onto a T-Shirt and issued to all officers. It be be in shot as they drag these thick twats away.

"So why are you at a riot ?"

BustingBaoBun · 10/08/2024 09:22

That was a massive brick/piece of concrete he was throwing. Imagine if that landed on someone's head?

SerendipityJane · 10/08/2024 09:23

Yes - I did it. I called them thick. I'll be sitting here quietly waiting to be taken away.

If it had been another thick twat, we may have seen nuclear fusion.

I'm going to write to the International Chemical Standards Organisation and suggest that they call the next most dense thing they discover "Faragium". I might also suggest they start their search around the offices of GBNews (they're not a real news station).

Its all back to nomal with Patel

https://x.com/Haggis_UK/status/1822186541738864646

Neil Basu(ex Assistant Comm'r Met Police) on Priti Patel's two-tier policing comments in the Times.

"There goes Priti Patel.. that's a very divisive comment.. two-tier policing is absolute nonsense.. & you're putting everyone of my former colleagues at risk with that comment.."

I saw that he arrived in Cardiff by train @cardibach. I was very envious. Friends at the gig said is was amazing.
I was a bit worried as DD’s office is near Cardiff Central and they were all told to WFH yesterday because of potential gatherings.

Edited

Yes, apparently he did! He was amazing. No loss of power or range.
There were rumours of ‘protests’ for lunch time, and a counter protest. As far as I’m aware nothing came of either, but there was a massive police presence in the evening, which I don’t imagine was mobilised for Billy Joel fans…

A 70 year old tried to do the same thought being an OAP would let him off

He didn't cry but swore instead

He was trending on twitter with that train journey Grin

Johnson is lying again in the DM, using a picture of the Starmer's on holiday in 2022.

Are there any riots planned in London today or tomorrow? My brother has just arrived from overseas with his family and they are spending the weekend there.

BustingBaoBun · 10/08/2024 10:14

Who is surprised at this?

Who is surprised at this?

No-one maybe bar a few deluded souls who voted for him - also wonder if Farage ever made it to Jayswick after the nasty arson attack there this week

How is that allowed?

Concern was expressed yesterday about disorder around football matches this weekend - none of the stadiums are in central London and travel by fans is funnelled away from there too

So maybe check the fixtures for the weekend for extra re-assurance?

Is he trying to remind us of the fact he was reluctant to return from holiday during the 2010 Croydon riots when he was Mayor of London

bombastix · 10/08/2024 10:39

When was Boris Johnson not on holiday?

I know he writes his own history, because he has to. Everyone else is going to see his contributions to the UK all too accurately.

Johnson’s slow degeneration into the Punch and Judy man of the DM continues

I just read the first part - as much as you can read for free. Johnson just comes over as mean minded and frankly jealous.

This made me laugh so much.

I've noticed as well how many of these thugs are described as "sobbing" in the witness box. They are scary in a mob when they've got their mates round them but seem to crumble when they're on their own. The "master race" - thick as bricks and no backbone.

BustingBaoBun · 10/08/2024 11:45

This picture amused me. A lonely racist turned up at a hotel apparently used by asylum seekers, to be faced with hundreds of great people telling him to do one.

He's not so hard without the rest of his moronic crew around is he....

I think it is the realization that the society that they would claim to protect does not exist. Likewise saying what you like on the internet. A lot of people do not realize that it’s not like getting your say down the pub because the impact, where it is distributed again and again, magnifies and becomes greater.

Tbh if many of these racists had just kept this in the pub via commentary the law would struggle to touch them. Tech is clearly making the evidence and the impact much easier to prove.

Notonthestairs · 10/08/2024 11:55

Yes there was an interesting suggestion that would be rioters have been told to limit organisation person to person now. So the original encouragement/direction might come from online but after that it is shared within discrete groups.

DuncinToffee · 10/08/2024 12:21

One of those charged actually tagged in an official police account.....

A case of donkeys led by donkeys?

How unkind to donkeys, though I get your point.

As for the former Prime Minister, if he told me today would be sunny, I'd take an umbrella with me when going out.
