What household chores do you actually enjoy doing?

I love doing laundry. I really love it.
It lifts my spirit when washing comes out of the machine smelling lovely and looking clean.
I love bimbling around the garden pegging up the clean clothes.
I could sit and watch washing flap around on the line for hours.
I love bringing clean washing in, folding it and putting it away neatly.
I love trying out new laundry products.
I love reading about laundry hacks.
I love putting a whole outfit of fresh and clean clothes on.
There is nothing better in the world than getting into freshly laundered bed linen.

DP thinks I'm completely insane.

What about you, what household chores do you love to do?

I love laundry too, but hate having to use an indoor airer in winter. I avoid tumble drying clothes as it eventually damages them, but use it for towels and bed linen in winter, and to finish off towels in summer to keep them fluffy.

Not really a fan of everything else but love a clean home so I get through it as quickly as possible and have something nice waiting as a reward.

Laundry for me too

If I’m in the mood, I quite enjoy cleaning out cupboards. Ours need sorting out big time as there’s so much crammed in. I would love someone to organise everything like they do on “ Sort Your Life Out”.

I love doing the laundry when I can put it out on the line. The smell of it!
I hate it when it has to be tumble dried or o the airer.
Hate ironing though.

Laundry. I love the smell of the blue lenor, Same for changing the bed, nothing like lovely smelling sheets to hop into!

I don’t actually love doing the laundry but I do absolutely love seeing it out on the line. Especially when it’s all white, neatly arranged, with the same colour pegs - that’s a bit sad I know! It’s great having a coffee outside and watching it blowing dry in a gentle summer breeze.

I really enjoying scrubbing the bins and the fridge until they're spotless

I think it's because I get a disproportionately satisfied feeling when it's done.

I like doing laundry too. I even enjoy hearing the sound of the washing machine being on

I don’t like mopping the floors, but love when they are mopped and still wet

None of them

I really like cleaning shoes, polishing leather is great, but I have recently started cleaning light coloured trainers too. It is so satisfying.

I find hoovering satisfying. Most hated is dishes and shower tiles...

I enjoyed most chores when I lived alone.

I don't enjoy any of them anymore.

Pulling out the sofas and hoovering under cushions etc

I don’t mind doing laundry in the summer - I can do 2 loads a day if needed and dry it outside. I don’t have a back log.

In winter it’s a different story.

I like hoovering. The difference a clean, crumb-less carpet makes in any room is astounding.

Laundry here too! I have a new machine, very basic model to stay in budget, but I've happily spent the past week trying different cycles 😊

Also like hoovering - seeing the dirt collect in the cylinder fascinates me - how tf do we tramp that much fluff/dust/dirt about the place?!

Stripping the bed so it's got fresh linen on...do not enjoy putting duvet cover back on there though 🙈

Yes i love doing the washing! Happily swap DH laundry for dishes. Also clearing out and organising is great. I like checking all the kids pens to see which have run out 😁

Actually most things are ok with a podcast playing. I don't mind cleaning really. Sure there are more fun things to do, and it can be frustrating when it never seems to stay done, but it's not so bad really. Dana K White is my current cleaning podcast and she's really helped me streamline things.

Oh yes! @BertieBotts checking pens makes me happy 🙈 I did all of dd2's, while decorating and sorting her room, recently - she was like 🤷‍♀️

None for me either.

I really love laundry too. Smelling that fresh clean smell when I get it out and then putting it on the airer. Gutted I can't hang it out because my little one has severe hay fever 😭 though I love getting into fresh sheets after a nice bath☺️completely detest ironing though 😂

General tidying up - it relaxes me (I always say if I'm stressed, I tidy up to calm down)

Washing up - enjoy this far more than I enjoy cooking and although we have a dishwasher we very rarely use it because I would far rather wash up by hand. I love washing, wiping and putting away the dishes and leaving the sink area immaculate and gleaming. This has to be done after every meal in our house, leaving dirty dishes by the side of the sink is not allowed.

Cleaning bathrooms - again I love making the taps and basins etc gleam and arranging all the towels so the bathroom looks like a boutique hotel.

I don't particularly enjoy laundry or bed changing but I do love the feel of clean bedlinen when I get into bed. And I always make beds daily (and get the DC to make their beds) as I think a bedroom looks so much nicer with the beds made.

I don't enjoy any of the above as much as I enjoy mowing the lawn though - that's the best job ever!

I quite like hoovering. I love cooking. I love cleaning the shower screen with the squeegee!
I also like watching the laundry going round the machine while it's filling up. I sometimes sit there cross legged, mesmerised for five minutes!
I don't hate washing up that much but I hate drying dishes.

I hate taking laundry out and hanging it up to dry.
And hate dusting. Obviously hate cleaning toilets. I don't like washing the kitchen floor either but luckily the cleaner does that.
I quite like spraying and wiping mirrors clean. But not windows, lol.

I hate doing laundry! I quite like hoovering though.
