Just been talking to my neighbour. He and his family are Nigerian. They haven't been here that long. Both work. They have small dcs.
He's had to take today off work as he works in a town that's been targeted and he's scared to travel.

I'm in tears I'm so angry. Those bastards wouldn't know how to fucking spell work. Luckily I got inside before I broke down. Dh is also teary. They're the loveliest family. I'm genuinely scared for my African neighbours. There's a lot of families moved here from the south because of a housing shortage. All of them that I've met are decent lovely people. Wish I could say the same for a lot of people who are from here.

@AInightingale it's horrendous that you're having to think of such things and worry whether a 15yo will be safe doing normal things. I lived in Manchester for a long time and it always felt a diverse and safe city but like the pp, I'd be reluctant to let my kids be on their own if they're not white at the minute. I'm so angry that you and thousands of others are being made to feel like this.

Yeah it makes me angry that I pay taxes for people like this. It doesn’t seem fair does it?

But the issue is if you cut off their benefits and effectively make them homeless it could lead to a rise in crime. And in the case where women are involved it may affect children as well.

It is scary that folk like this are raising children though. I think all parents found to be involved in this need to be looked into by social services but no doubt they lack the resources to do that unfortunately. Schools should come down firmly on any kids regurgitating their parents poison to other kids though especially if they’re POC.

I promise I won't mention it again after this last comment, but it was a fantastic event, I have to admit I am not a crowds person generally, but it was really well organised and such a good atmosphere. One of my lasting memories though is following a very drunk man up the steep hill up from the front, at the Roker end, and being in absolute awe at his tenacious fight against the laws of gravity, there were moments when his nose was inches off the ground ! He met a couple of pals at the top and they bundled him onto a bus home, with instructions to the Driver as to which stop he needed

This is what worries me about getting the train now 😞 unfortunately I don’t drive. I don’t want to end up trapped on a train with drunk violent racists.

Where I live (Leeds) I've kind of sensed white people being extra nice to black and Asian people over the last few days. It's like they want to reassure them they're not one of those nasty racist thugs. Lots of people of all colours out in Leeds. I hate the thought of people being too scared to go out. It's heartbreaking.

Yes, there are plans for it down here, someone shared a recent post warning people to stay away from the area.

The country you know and love is a figment of the British State’s imagination - British values are made up of superficial national symbols all designed to avoid racial/ ethnic conflict. The grim reality is that mass immigration is tipping us into a post-colonial society whereby multiculturalism dies and the population splits into ethnic groups, our pluralist society becomes a plural one, the political system will revolve around ethnic rivalries (see Muslim Vote at this election and Reform) and the shrinking ethnic majority react violently to events. The British state with its narrative of community relations and refusal to discuss interethnic conflict, is basically incapable of dealing with this situation because it would mean admitting that ethnic tensions exist, ethnic diversity can be problematic and outbursts of ethnic violence will become more common (see Balkan Roma riots or Hindus and Muslims fighting each two years ago).

I joined a counter protest and it was very empowering. There were so many policeman that the thugs couldn't get anywhere near us. I think it's important we all stand up against this racism and show our support to all minorities. If we hide away at home they don't know we support them.

I read a report about some of the thugs who were being brought to court, they weren’t so big and brave in front of the magistrates, they were snivelling and crying and coming out with all the usual excuses . I would like to see them all doing community service clearing up the places they have wrecked and really being made to put their backs into it, not mooching around picking up the off scrap of paper with their tabards inside out like they are allowed to get away with round here!

I don’t think this is unique to the British state - it’s happening all over Europe to a greater or lesser extent.

I think it’s far more to do with poverty and inequality though than a failure of multi-culturalism (which I think is very debatable). It’s much easier for everyone to get along when everyone is doing well, getting the same and not having to compete for scraps.

My lovely work colleague was too scared to leave her house on Sunday and told me that this has made her feel like she doesn't belong here, even though she was born here. It is absolutely sickening what these racist, ignorant people are doing, supposedly in the name of "are" country.

I live in a decent mc area in the south east and I got water thrown at me at the bus stop today. Didn’t manage to get the full number plate or non blurry images so not sure if even worth reporting.

It's awful,we live in a "white" village and are the only family of colour!! My children no longer have a school to attended due to the racism they have had to deal with in both village schools!

Seeing people on my Facebook I went to school with posting AI racist nonsense and sharing statuses about ‘takin are country back!!!’ is just making me so angry. My hometown’s local Facebook chat group is literally just posts sharing where the riots are so people can go, and spreading racist bullshit and the posts stay because they all share the same disgusting beliefs. Makes me glad I got the hell out of there to a multicultural city where people aren’t so stupid and awful.
