As someone suggested on the Brad and Angie thread which listed loads of high profile disastrous marriages. I’ll go first.

Jude Apatow and Leslie Mann always seem totally happy. I know we never really know😀

Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward were married a very long time until his death.

Supposedly Tom had at minimum an emotional affair when he was on Strictly and they’re only together for the children (and tbh their brand image).

Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper - 26 years married.

I think most marriages have bumps in the road, but to have to face them publicly must be very tough. Not heard anything about the Balls’ btw.

Aww I didn't know John lydons wife had died, I knew she had dementia and he was her caring for her,

Bono and Ali Hewson. Been married for around 42 years.

Really?? He danced with Amy Dowden and she's a massive part of their lives still, even staying with them after she was hospitalised with a crohn's outbreak. Amy and Gi do a fair bit of charity work together, so I can only assume any EA was with someone entirely different or is a load of rubbish!

In terms of others:

• Gloria Estefan & Emilio Estefan - 45 years!
• Never knew that Faith Hill & Tim McGraw were married, but they have been married for 25+ years

The Beckhams were ruined for me reading threads on here about school teachers and pregnancies

I've heard rumours about John and Emily too, I really like him - I don't know if they are suited though when I see them being interviewed together, something seems off..

Yeah. He did a tour this year which we went to-not playing but speaking. The first half he spoke of his childhood, parents, school, the Sex Pistols , PiL and of course spoke extensively of Nora. The second half was a Q&A. His devotion to Nora was evident and very, very touching.

He suffered meningitis as a child and suffered severe memory loss and had to relearn basic skills and reading and writing. He said this period of life gave him the empathy to deal with her dementia later on.

I know he's mouthy and often controversial but underneath it, he's a lovely, lovely man.

I love Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardum, they just look effortlessly happy together and both seem laid back and fun.

Oh I saw he was touring a friend went I just hadn't heard he was devoted to her.

Talking of Spainairds Salma Hayek(sp) and her husband are hilarious.

Michael Caine and his wife Shakira, they’ve been happily married for 51 years.

Completely agree re Johnny Lyndon. He was brave enough to speak out when others wouldn't over Savile and was silenced by cuddly little Beeb who protected that paedophile. Lyndon is a very intelligent and perceptive person who stands up to the Establish 💪

Love people citing royals in this thread - yeah, perfect marriages, apart from the mistresses.

Maybe that is the key to a long marriage.

I went to an event where they were interviewed together and he's still totally besotted with her. It was so lovely. When they spoke about their initial flirtation both of them were clearly transported back and were enjoying the memory of it.
