Personally I think any couple that spend a lot of time posting pictures of themselves looking happy are superficial, happy people just get on with it and don't feel the need to prove themselves.

It's well know that she was his beard.

They spoilt up as per their financial agreement when the children were of a certain age.

Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft. Married in 1964, together until she died in 2005, absolutely adored each other. Easily my favourite celebrity couple of all time.

Obviously there are lots of examples where only one of the couple is famous, too. Christopher Lee was married to his wife Gitte for 54 years until he died, and by all accounts they barely had a cross word between them in their lives.

Unorthodox but....John Lydon and Nora Forster were together for over 40 years until she died last year. He was devoted to her and was her carer when she suffered Alzheimer's. Quite unlike the image he presented in the 70s!

Bono has been with his wife since they were at school.

Roland Orzebal from Tears for Fears was also with his wife Caroline from school till her death a few years back. She suffered from depression during the menopause, started drinking heavily and ended up dying of an alcoholic related dementia but he remained totally supportive.
