Colour of your bins

Let’s discuss an extremely boring topic, just regular and recycle.

Regular Bin: Green
Recycling Bin: Brown

Regular bin Green
Recycling bin Blue
Food and garden Brown

I do this. Just wait to see what bin has appeared outside next doors drive as I come home from work on a Sunday night

Regular bin - brown
Paper bin - green
Food waste - little caddy style bin
Plastics/glass - green tubs with a black lid

Purple?

You have two bins
Others have more than two
SIMPLE

All green = general waste
green with blue lid = paper & cardboard
green grey lid = plastic & tin
green with brown lid = garden & food waste
green with pinky purple lid = additional general waste (we use it for nappies)

No waste bin, we just put it out in black sacks (rural)

No one recycling bin, we have a mixture of 5 boxes/bags

I've got grey general, then 2 for recycling - they're green with a red lid for pale and card, yellow for plastic, cans and glass. There aren't 'just the two'.

(And a brown bin for garden waste which I have to pay extra for so it deserves a mention)

Grey - general
Blue - paper/card
Green - glass & cans
Brown - garden & food

List what 2? Clearly most of us have one general waste & several recycling ones.

Clearly none of us realised we were only 'allowed' to list 2 or the thread police would be alerted

I am proud to be The Neighbour who others follow to put the correct bin out.
They also expect me to email Council when our collection is missed.

Metal and plastic- red (which looks orange once faded)
Cardboard- orange

Oh rubbish weekly
Recycling fortnightly
Garden waste alternates with recycling but on a different day

Our bins are all grey, only the colour of the lids is different

Regular household waste - grey, same as bin
Recycling - blue
Garden waste (if you choose to buy in to it) - brown

Regular bin - dark blue
Garden waste - green
Recycling - black with purple lid
Paper/card - blue tarpaulin bag

Regular bin - all dark grey
Recycling - dark grey with blue lid
Garden - dark grey with brown lid

Blue: mixed waste: fortnightly

Green: plastic and tins: monthly

Black: paper: monthly

Brown: food and garden waste: fortnightly

Guys...please stop...you are giving away your location by the colour of your bins...
