Let’s discuss an extremely boring topic, just regular and recycle.

Regular Bin: Green
Recycling Bin: Brown

Regular: black
food: blue
recycling: green x 2
garden green

Black bin - general waste
Green bin - recycling
Brown bin - garden waste

General - black wheelie
Plastic/glass/tins - also black wheelie with recycling symbol on lid
Paper/card - black wheelie with blue lid
Food waste - black large caddie

Garden waste - brown at extra cost.

Forgot the timetable:
regular 3 weekly.
everything else weekly

Regular bin: black
Card/paper recycling: black with blue lid
Plastic/glass: purple square bucket thing
Food: brown
Garden: Brown (you pay extra for this)

Regular rubbish is green
Recycling is a darker green
Food bin another shade of green!
Garden waste is brown

Regular - black
Recycling - Green (the only sensible choice surely?)
Garden waste - brown
Food waste caddy - grey

All fortnightly apart from food, which is weekly.

Regular - black, garden waste - green, recycling - reddish brown.

Bottles & glass - blue box
Garden waste - green bin
Food waste - grey bin (I don’t use this. Have a waste disposal unit)

None recyclable Black every three weeks

Glass, tins, hard plastics Brown every two weeks

Garden and food waste Green every two weeks

Paper, cardboard Blue every two weeks rotating with the other recycling bins.

Geez SIMPLE instructions - just list the two. How was that so difficult.

Green- general
Blue- paper/ cardboard
Grey - Plastics and metal
Brown - food waste/ garden waste (food waste is free garden waste you need a permit)

Collection fortnightly general and food/ garden waste. Every four weeks for recycling.

Regular - grey; paper and card - blue; plastic, glass and tins - brown; garden waste - green.

I miss the old days when I had two bins. Now I have 6 240L bins and 1140L and I still have to take all the glass into town. Obviously recycling is good but it's a PITA if you miss a collection and have to wait a month for them to return.

Garden waste.....One Grey with huge dandelion sticker, one grey with green lud

Oh and
Recycling....Massive grey with blue lid

4 bins.

1. Black (council call it grey) non- recyclable waste. Emptied every 3 weeks.
2. Green: Paper &Cardboard. Emptied once a month.
3. Brown: Food & Garden waste. Emptied fortnightly.
4. Blue: Glass and cans. Emptied monthly.

I'ill get your excitement levels up... they're both emptied weekly.

Black for general waste
Green for recycling (plastic, cans and paper)
Brown for compost (food and garden)

It makes perfect sense in my world...
