This violence is about white supremacy, I agree (stoked by poverty and political rhetoric).
The violent disorder before that was a Roma community who wanted neglected children returned to them.
The violent disorder before that was a Muslim community at Manchester airport who were reacting to a grievance and ended up attacking police (before one kicked a prone man in the head).
The violent disorder before that was pro Gaza protesters smashing up buildings to ‘make their point’.
The violent disorder before that were parents from Muslim communities gathering to hound a teacher who has ‘slighted’ their religion. He is still in hiding, years later.
The disorder before that (not violent perhaps but criminal damage) was BLM in Bristol tearing down a statue to throw in the sea, while police allowed it. I’m not too bothered about this, but shows causing damage is a running theme despite the aims of the march.
The violent disorder before that was the biggest, 2011 and thousands were arrested when a protest against police racism (triggered by the shooting of Mark Duggan) erupted and the rioters came from all ethnicities in large numbers. Burning buildings, people died, looting was rife.
We have a problem with thuggery, the common theme being men who feel they don’t have the level of control over the rest of the world they want to have.
