Interesting thread -

6/ If I didn't know better I would say this is a crafted campaign designed to help ReformUK deflect from the right-wing nature of the current violence by trying to reframe it as a Labour failure and Starmer attack on 'White British' values

threadreaderapp.com/thread/1820114563469127841.html

The last photo on there is exactly the kind of nonsense all over twitter.

😂
Yeah of course they went to Spain so he could "spend quality time with his kids". Knob
Interesting the daily mail have outed him tho

Very curious outing from DM turncoats - apparently having a change from Spain and in hiding at Atlantica Mare £400/night luxury hotel in Ayia Napa Cyprus

He copied his whining tweet above to Elon Musk

Cyprus was trending earlier with all the details and lots of sarcasm

Now it's gone completely - did his mate help him out or is that too much of a conspiracy theory?

.edited for clarity

I love Chorus line. I've seen it locally before.

I love that and 42nd street still have really old fashioned dance moves and have kept their roots.

The only musical I've seen I didn't enjoy 100% was Chicago. Not because I didn't enjoy it - just unusually I preferred the film 😳

Starlight express is coming near me soon. I'd love to book and take ds but it's so hard because we never know that far in advance when and where he'll be competing. And I can't afford to lose all that money!

I’d say not to worry, it’s ALW and I haven’t liked anything he’s written since a Jesus Christ Superstar…but I do realise many people don’t share that view 🤣

Are you Dominic Raab? 😉

Cheeky!

I fancy a trip to France and somewhere nice near Calais would be perfect. Thanks @BIWI

Cardi I actually like ALW. I've seen starlight express. Ds is a train nut so thought he'd appreciate it.

Can't deny Jesus Christ superstar was a work of genius though. It also holds a special place in my heart because my dads school did it (he was a teacher - maths!) and he played the guitar for them!

BIWI · 04/08/2024 22:04

@PandoraSox Le Touquet is lovely, but also the drive down from Calais is good - and plenty of nice places to stop en route. I had plans to buy somewhere in the region when I retired, as there is some amazingly cheap property in that part of France - most Brits drive straight through the region to get further South. Sadly Brexit put paid to that.

I'd like to see a mosque built in Mecca. But I bet we can't. (Paraphrased)

Is that actually what he said?

It's so thick I'm actually thinking it can't be 😂😂

I'm laughing so much at the thought someone actually said and meant he'd like to see them being able to build a mosque in the holiest city according to Islam.

RafaistheKingofClay · 04/08/2024 22:15

That is what he said. They can come over here and build mosques here if we can go and build mosques in Mecca. I’m not sure Mecca needs more mosques but hey.

The first guy seems to have inexplicably confused the circle logo of the TV channel on the mic with the Oldham town council logo. I’d imagine the Stella and the coke have quite a lot to play in both these situations.

@ghostyslovesheets do you mind if I message you about virtual school, as it’s something I’d like to get into.

Virtual school as in students join on a video call?

RobinStrike · 04/08/2024 22:23

It's not even being done as part for a riot

Virtual school as in students join on a video call?

No and that always causes confusion! We used to be called LACES (Looked After Children's Education Service) but that was long winded and also dated so they made us a the Virtual School for LAC (looked after children) - every local authority has one one we are responsible for the support and promotion of education for all out local authorities care experienced young people from 0-18.

My team is made of an amazing powerhouse of a VS Head then we have teachers/SW for each band - early years/nursery, Reception to year 4 etc

I am one of 2 careers advisers who works with year 11 (sometimes 10) up to care leavers aged 25. We kick ass, challenge exclusions, manage pupil premium plus, advocate and support our young people and their carers and generally cause ruckuses in meetings - no seriously I LOVE my job, our kids are amazing.

ArmFromUll · 04/08/2024 22:28

Oh yes I do know about them. A friend works for our local one. I wondered at first if you meant schools where students who can't get themselves to go to school can learn online. All very interesting.

I know there is a shortage of teachers, but would her head teacher allow her to bring the school into disrepute? Surely that's a sackable offence. It's one of the reasons that you have to be careful with what you post online.

bombastix · 04/08/2024 22:46

I’m guessing that won’t last very long and it will all have been a “mistake”

Evenstar · 04/08/2024 22:48

@L1ttledrummergirl I would assume that it would constitute bringing the school into disrepute and thus gross misconduct which she could be sacked for. I am not clear on the legalities, but could honestly see parents withdrawing their children from the school if she still worked there.

Her job is in jeopardy then. There’s a whole section in the Teacher Standards about conduct. (Not bringing the profession into disrepute)

The teacher who was prosecuted for kicking a horse a few years ago lost her job. You can even be barred from teaching.

L1ttledrummergirl · 04/08/2024 22:58

When I worked in retail it was a sackable offence, as a union rep we'd try to negotiate a no notice resignation with reference as a good result. I thought it might be the same in schools.
