I'm just drinking my first cuppa, in my kitchen spot, in silence 😊 Both kittens are napping in here, in sunny spots, and no-one else is awake yet (well, dd1 was, but she's gone back to sleep as the kittens followed me down for breakfast 🙄) .

We need to nip into town today for birthday cards for the girls' dad, and my dad, and to look for presents. Goodness knows what we'll get my dad - I had a clear idea last year & he loved it. Not a clue this time 🤷‍♀️

When we get back we need to sort dd1's provisional application & renew passports. I'm not sure how photos work when renewing them online so will have to read that bit first!

I'm off for a few drinks at a friends house this evening, not sure what I'll take to drink yet. I finished 3/4 of a bottle of wine out of the fridge last night so don't really fancy it atm 🤷‍♀️ . Hopefully we'll order some food, I'll be starving otherwise!

Good morning @Lucysmam and others. I have had two coffees and a stale roll toasted then a cuppa. The bed is stripped and in the washing machine. The dishwasher has been emptied and loaded again. I'm heading out for second breakfast with a friend. Then I'm looking after dgs for a few hours to let dd get out. Enjoy your day.

If you can do the provisional online it's cheaper! Lots of questions but hers came back really quickly.
Dd is 17 and an apprentice mechanic so desperate to be able to drive.

I also have to find my Dad a birthday present. It’s his 80th in 2 weeks and I’m struggling!! I’ve just pre-ordered a gorgeous “Aged to Perfection”
Jameson Whiskey cake from a bakery in Ireland as we will be over there for his birthday. So just been lying in bed messaging the baker back and forth about details.
But a present! No idea.

Today myself and Dads are getting gel toes as a treat for our holiday in Ireland. They’re very excited. There’s a huge Costa across the road from the salon so we’ll pop in there for some lunch afterwards. Then visit my Dad then back home for pizza and hopefully a glass of rose wine (although may skip that as DD1 may be going to a friend’s house for a sleepover so I will need to drop her later if so).

Giving myself another 20 mins in bed before I have to start getting ready - feeling very lazy this morning. May need a second cappuccino 😂

Good morning @lucysmam and company, it’s a gloriously sunny morning here and I have done nearly two hours bits and pieces, ironing and tidying/pootling in the garden before it gets too warm. I have just made my first coffee and I will have a shower and change then I intend to do very little for the rest of the day except sit outside and read?
DH has taken the dog off for a longish walk, all’s very peaceful here 🙏

Currently lay in bed watching a bit of the olympics listening to my daughter and her daddy play silly games downstairs.
Will get up shortly and pop a facemask on and do a few preppy bits ready for this evening as me and husband are going out to celebrate a friends birthday.
Nipping to the shops today and might grab lunch out!

Morning! We have got a party at the dreaded soft play at 11, then home to sort the house out and pack before holiday next week!

When I renewed my passport online I just took a selfie on my phone (remember to turn it around if your phone makes a selfie a mirror image).

We’re back from our holiday with lots of washing to do, the house also needs a good dust. I agreed to babysit next doors kids today and their cousins, turns out there are five cousins, so I’m really pleased with my life choices right now.

I’m going to take everyone to Skansen today, we’ll see how many kids I lose on the metro, at least that will reduce the lunch bill.

Our son has a rugby event today, so my husband has taken him to that and I think they’ll be out until early evening.

We’re going to start watching sweet tooth tonight, it has been on netflix a long time but we haven’t got round to watching it yet.

Had a busy first week of summer holidays, house utterly neglected so weekend is usual i imagine, friends round, chores.

Good morning lucysmam & everyone. It’s a beautiful day here in Cornwall, really warm already. I’ve loaded the dishwasher with more to go in later, put a big load of washing out (DD15 had a very uncharacteristic tidy up & got rid of a pile of throws amongst other stuff so I washed them before they go to the charity shop), given the bunnies some kale & photographed some items which have gone on FB Marketplace. DD asked me to buy some Converse off Vinted last night so I have set up an account & already started sorting clothes & shoes to sell. I have lost 2.5 stone so can fit back into things I haven’t worn for ages but I need to be realistic about whether I will ever be able to wear my smaller stuff again. I have everything from size 22 to 14! Will look through my handbags too. Also need to try on clothes from catalogues - I went through a very bad patch & kept buying to try to make myself feel better. They are all piled on my bedroom stool. Oh & my endless jewellery needs storing. I bought a lovely box recently & intend to get some craft supply containers as they have lots of compartments for earrings etc. Might fit in a charity shop run later. DD15 has an unscheduled visit to her GF’s & will be dropped home early evening. DH working til lunchtime & will no doubt tinker with his bike. Trying to decide between Asda pizzas or Chinese for tea.

Trying to pack for a holiday to the US and flapping 😭

DH and 1 DC out at a sport. Second DC and I have just come back from a long dog walk. About to make some pasta from scratch for dinner tonight. We're out later this afternoon sailing followed by a huge ice cream from the best ice cream shop ever.

Well, I've had my breakfast, vacuumed and done a load of washing. It's raining here though, so not put it out yet.
Just been reading how to prep an inside wall before painting to see if I can do it; I won a £20 voucher for B and M, so I'm debating on spending some of it on magnolia paint.
Our other plan is to take our old broken microwave plus some unwanted bits of wood to the tip, better get on with it.

Good morning @lucysmam and the Saturday morning gang. We're having a quiet morning here in the Tayto household. DCats are snoozing and I'm having a second cuppa while I psych myself up for the Saturday morning trip to Tesco. DD headed off to Portugal yesterday with her friends. I'm heading into a very busy week at work (a lot of overtime) so I'm going to do a little bit of housework in the afternoon and then chill in front of the TV for the evening.

Hope you have a good day, when in doubt a good bottle of their favourite spirit works well for my dad it does. 😂

It's my birthday today my plans fell through so I'll be going food shopping and probably just mooch about the house the rest of the day as it's raining.

Morning everyone we(2 DC & I) were up at 7 15 & chilled in bed until 8, we came down ive done breakfast & i had a coffee. DC 1 is playing upstairs & DC 2 is with me in the living room with his superhero figures & his costumes, TV is on but he's not watching it much, it's raining on & off here (Ireland) so we will probably have a chill day in, ill pop Netflix or something on my phone,we'll play upstairs,living room etc .Saturday is usually my day to myself as kids go to dad's Friday afternoon till Saturday afternoon but his GF has COVID apparently so they couldn't go this week. Quite a chilled day,we are all tired as had a few late nights,out of routine.

Slowly recovering after too much wine last night. Was awake around six and got up around 6.30. Have drunk lots of tea and had a slice of toast and honey.

Am about to vacuum as there is dog hair everywhere. Then I might brush the shedding dog. Have a wash on which I will hang out once it’s done.

Need to get DH to put some things up into the loft today. And I might start sorting the airing cupboard which is a mess and full of things that could probably go.

Other than that not planning much except hopefully sitting in the garden reading a book. And then DH is cooking Dan Dan noodles for dinner as I’m craving something spicy.

I was up and out at 7am to take my mum to the airport. Took ages to get her bag dropped and cost me an actual fortune!
Popped into the Card Factory for a balloon and candles for DS 16th tomorrow, and someone has scratched my car 😢 £200 excess, so it's been an expensive morning.

We're without DH this weekend as he's hosting BIL's stag do, so DD4 and I are having a 'girls weekend' as she's calling it 🤣 Housework this morning while DD has been watching TV and playing with puzzles, then this afternoon we'll head to the park for a picnic with DM and DSis. Home to make plans for decorating DD's new bedroom and probably takeaway for tea tonight.

Tomorrow the weather looks hot here so I'm hoping the paddling pool will keep her occupied while I watch but that's probably a pipe dream

It’s beautiful here in my corner of north east Scotland this morning. Oldest boys are just waking up, youngest is up and dressed and had breakfast and is just heading outside to play on his slide. Puppy is snoozing after her breakfast. Must get up from my sunny window seat and get on with some washing.
Oldest teen has been unwell this week so a chill day today, perhaps we will have ice cream at the beach later this afternoon.

I'm just waiting for the washing machine to finish. I'm going to use my weed burner to blast some weeds and then do some card making (I make them for a local charity). After that, it will be a magazine in the garden whist watching the washing blowing about.

I'm frantically washing, ironing and packing to go away early tomorrow morning. I'm working later so need to get it all done before I go in.

I'm a massive procrastinator though, hence being sat on mumsnet when I have more important things to do!
