Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa, in my kitchen spot, in silence 😊 Both kittens are napping in here, in sunny spots, and no-one else is awake yet (well, dd1 was, but she's gone back to sleep as the kittens followed me down for breakfast 🙄) .

We need to nip into town today for birthday cards for the girls' dad, and my dad, and to look for presents. Goodness knows what we'll get my dad - I had a clear idea last year & he loved it. Not a clue this time 🤷‍♀️

When we get back we need to sort dd1's provisional application & renew passports. I'm not sure how photos work when renewing them online so will have to read that bit first!

I'm off for a few drinks at a friends house this evening, not sure what I'll take to drink yet. I finished 3/4 of a bottle of wine out of the fridge last night so don't really fancy it atm 🤷‍♀️ . Hopefully we'll order some food, I'll be starving otherwise!

A lazy day with nothing planned always seems to become full - not in a bad way though!

I'm working today but the contractors that are in are hopefully finishing around 12 so I am planning a possible Costa lunch with DP and DD and maybe looking at getting a few pieces of school uniform. Rest of the day will be a few bits of housework and then chilling out.

Woke at 6 am with horrific migraine.
Took some paracetamol and managed another hours sleep at 7.
Went to let cat out and sat on garden bench with a cuppa just watching cat run around for an hour.
Just been up and down on my Stair lift with hand held shark vacuuming the stairs.
I'm on day 5 of mounjaro and haven't felt hungry today yet.. but l know l have to eat.. will make some scrambled eggs and mushrooms shortly.
Then getting an uber to my daughters and Grandsons .. things to sort out at her house.
She's also on mounjaro so we will have chicken salad for tea.

I'm up and watching the women's synchro diving at the Olympics. Having watched most of the GB v Spain men's hockey earlier. Love the Olympics and watch as much as I can!

Ooh drama! Problem with the Australian dive and GB might be getting a bronze!!

Anyway, doing laundry etc while watching and then out to dinner later as we had a crappy week last week!

Morning from a beach on Gran Canaria! It’s been stupidly hot since Wed , now it’s just a balmy 32 degrees. Today will be lying around, swimming in the sea and that’s about it.

DH and I are stewarding at London Trans Pride, as oldest is joining the march and they needed volunteers, plus it should be fun. Lovely weather for it - warm but not too hot. Just about to make lunch and pack a bag of practical things for me (and potentially anyone else who needs them) like water, snacks, folding stool to sit on and suncream.

Eight including our two year old, it wouldn’t need eight kids to wreck our house, thats the default position!

I had a lie-in and a cup of tea in bed. Since then I've watered the houseplants and have now watered my bonsai tree collection in the garden, which took considerably longer. Currently drinking coffee, and DH is having a long-winded chat on the phone with his pal. I've also watched some of the 'highlights' of the Olympic Games opening ceremony on the BBC news website. Got to get cracking on some random chores now, or the morning will disappear before I know it.

I am painting tiny scenes into pocket watches and will then be mounting them on wood slices and making the alice's adventures in wonderland tea party scene for my Etsy shop

Am in the Lake District- got absolutely soaked at Parkrun, thank god for the drying room in our B&B.
Just having breakfast then off for a hike. Hopefully the rain will ease off but doesn't take away from the beauty of the place. So nice toy breathe some fresh air.
Later dinner,beers and will try to keep my eyes open past 9pm!

Good morning everyone (just!).

I was up at 6.45am this morning as I couldn’t sleep and was a tiny bit fuzzy headed after wine and pizza at my sister’s last night. I got myself up and out for 9am though and went to join Slimming World as I need to lose a good few stone and now is as good a time as any to make a start.

Dh and dd19 are both at work today and I’m just waiting for my Tesco delivery. After that me and dd10 will be going into town to spend some of her birthday money and to pick a few bits up that we need for our holiday in a few weeks.

Tea will be either bacon and courgette pasta or bacon and egg then dh is going to the pub and I’ll watch a film with the girls before I get an early night.

Thanks! We're off to Cheddar gorge then Longleat. So not too far but will be away (with youngest DC) for 3 days.

I'm all washed/dried/ironed and mostly packed. Even managed to clear out and hoover the car! Bit of a sit down before work.

I’m in my current default position of lying on sofa with my broken leg elevated - getting a bit tired of it now.

DP made us coffee in bed and then came down and made us breakfast. He’s now gone off to play cricket.

DS1 is away at a golf thing with his dad so DS2 has invited a friend over for pizza and pool time. They’ve just popped to the shop for supplies.

So I’m home alone with my foot up watching the cricket and flicking over to the Olympics every so often. I do like the olympics and becoming an expert on random sports for 5 minutes and then never thinking about them again for another 4 years!!

Later I’m going to attempt to knee scoot down to the cricket club to catch the end of DP’s game and have a few drinks.

We're off to Devon in the campervan for the cricket tour tomorrow (which will be interesting with one leg but there you go!) so need to discuss last minute plans.

How have we got to p2 without a pic of the kittens?? I've been to a new gym class this morning which was HARD but good. Just doing general errands but enjoying the peace that comes with the kids being away with their dad. Going to meet sis for a meal and Twisters later so pretty good all in.
