The speed at which Russian backed? Channel 3 pumped out disinformation certainly gives a strong indication that groups coordinated misinformation.

prettybird · 01/08/2024 19:51

That gecko is so cool Smile

Our current pair of elite cats are called Frasier and Niles. Overlapping with them, we had Cleo (her pedigree name but we kept it because she replaced - and looked like - one of our first pair who was called Leo (short for Leoville-las Cases - a French 2nd Growth grand vin). His sister was called Muscat. (Dh's hobby is wine Wink). We also had Cosmo, who came after Cleo but died before her in a hit & run outside a nursery which, unbeknownst to us the tart he had been visiting regularly.

Picture is of Cosmo and Cleo.

Just seen an hilarious post on Facebook with one of those stupid avatars, the first two comments were “Isn’t it called Wetherspoons?” and “Yes, at least the rest of us would be able to avoid them”

For some reason that made me think of the scene from Cabaret. A nice little club full of sunshine and unicorns where they can sing uplifting songs. Quite chilling, really.

The rain has just hit and the cat has come in wet. He looks relieved. Normally getting rained on means a furious rate of protest beeps

Our current two are weird Hmm

They choose to go out in the rain Confused although they still expect to be dried if they come back in particularly wet Wink

Being Siamese, they are very vocal in announcing their arrival Grin

Nah. We know you want to kid yourself, but you wait and see. The rational, grown ups are in charge rather than the corrupt buffoons.

You’re clearly suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

IClaudine · 01/08/2024 19:58

bombastix · 01/08/2024 19:50

Oh it is coordinated. That is the point of it. And you see the same posters with the same tactics again and again. Mumsnet is not the worst place. But the visibility is there, released by the Reform vote which is the excuse.

But who is co-ordinating it?

IClaudine · 01/08/2024 20:00

Charlie2121 · 01/08/2024 19:57

You’re clearly suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

This is how ruthlessly effective Starmer is. Only a month in and he has already got us silly women suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

Notonthestairs · 01/08/2024 20:01

Come on then "Charlie" lay out your plan for political change - don't keep us on tenterhooks. 🙄

We should thank our lucky stars that we haven't been erades yet, guess Thanos Starmer has been distracted

Yes, tell us how you think Starmer should have handled this. I’m fascinated.

Saucery · 01/08/2024 20:06

It’s his hypnotic voice and undeniable sexual charisma, I bet. I’d have voted Reform but their male candidates look like someone strategically wiped slime off a slug and stuck it in a suit.

VimtoVimto · 01/08/2024 20:06

It would be strangely ironic if the Bibby Stockholm was repurposed for the rioters.

L1ttledrummergirl · 01/08/2024 20:06

Hello @Charlie2121 I didn't think you were coming back.
As I think that Starmer gave a good, reassuring speech today, and you believe that this means I have Stockholm syndrome (I wasn't aware I was a hostage, and certainly don't think I identity with my oppressor, can't say the same for those caught in the thrall of the last government + farage), it would be fabulous to hear your thoughts on why this might be the case.

Why do you not think Starmer can handle this? What evidence do you have to support your thinking? I'm always open to debate and discuss, especially if I'm wrong, it's a chance to grow and develop as a person.

Bibby Stockholm Syndrome….

BIWI · 01/08/2024 20:08

I think Charlie will say that he's not patriotic enough. Or some other such shit.

Pshaw, he’s only an ex DPP, what could he possibly know about lawrenorder.

And that he should step down and call another election so that the Blessed St Kemi can take her rightful place as the leader of our nation.

You’re clearly suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

I think perhaps you have posted on the wrong thread, are you looking for one perhaps about the hostages being held in Gaza, will some of their captors experience Lima syndrome?

Notonthestairs · 01/08/2024 20:12

That would be more money for the Tory donors that own the Bibby Stockholm and/or where it's docked.

But Jeremy Corbyn Starmer has no plan.

Am I right in thinking that it is patriotic to throw bricks at the police?

At least it would be well spent if it was used for rioters.
