@IClaudine I think you’re right, and I think we need to wonder who is behind it.

The authorities need to come down hard on these groups, I would support some of these groups becoming proscribed organisations if that helped the police in dealing with these thugs. There were disgraceful scenes in London on Saturday too.

It has been really vile. The worst I have ever seen on here. If it wasn't for these threads I wouldn't bother with MN.

It’s got the hallmarks of something Russia might do behind it. Not that most of the people posting are bots or paid but that sort of campaign to sow division and disruption takes off on social media very quickly.

I have been much more restrained in which threads I read and post on of late, some are just not worth it, as they are full of posters who are not there for a reasoned discussion.

It seems they are not satisfied with tonight’s disorder, there is what looks very much like a fake video claiming an Asian male was arrested near tonight’s vigil with a machete.

Think the football league kicks off the weekend after next and PL the weekend after so with a bit off luck the Tommy Robinson supporters can go back to fighting each other til next May. Hopefully that might calm things down.

I don’t think we’ve managed a government scandal yet have we? A few ex government ones maybe.

There have been some people who are scandalized that the government has got on with doing what it said it would, but I am not sure that counts.

The same Badenoch who dismissed legitimate concerns from journalist Rianna Croxford about sidelining a black doctor from leading a review into a coronavirus report by calling it “fanning the flames of racial division” and causing a social media pile on with Ms Croxford receiving hundreds of abusive messages?

What a complete and utter jolt to the very foundations of the things I once held true.

Now, if you’ll please excuse me, I have to go collapse on a fainting sofa and take a very large tonic to calm my nerves after this very, very unexpected and totally surprising news
