What is clear is that many know very very little about court procedures, the role of the CPS etc and the broader aims and expectations of our justice systems.
Which is how governments get away with underfunding it. It's largely unseen work but so vital. I dearly hope the next ten years are spent correcting this.
(This isn't wholly related to current tragedies, it's a long term bug bear and worry that without active & informed support for our justice systems it is easy prey for particular political groups. We are set up this way after centuries of important discussions and decisions. The law is reason free from passion etc)
