Mine would be people who constantly sniff when they have a cold and don't blow their nose. I just want to give them a tissue and scream at them to blow their nose. Especially if I'm next to them on a train.

Definitely talking with your mouthful of food- just disgusting!

LadyCrumpet · 17/07/2024 23:30

Everything.
Walk slowly.
Dead stop in the street.
Breathe.
Eat.
Talk.
Tap.
Fidget.
Click pens.
Play shit that should be on headphones too loud.
Drive like arseholes.
The list is endless.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 17/07/2024 23:30

Chewing gum loudly

Cutting in queues

Cancelling last min unless an emergency ie flackiness

Not paying back money
Or giving back items borrowed

loropianalover · 17/07/2024 23:31

Hit the fork off their teeth while eating.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 17/07/2024 23:31

@LadyCrumpet

All of that !!! And more

OptimismvsRealism · 17/07/2024 23:32

Cycle on the pavement

Organise random things they expect me to contribute money to

Be in massive tour groups wherever I am

BecauseImDonna · 17/07/2024 23:34

Be late

NuffSaidSam · 17/07/2024 23:35

Say "it's fine" when it isn't. Or "I don't mind" when they do.

For the love of god just be clear about how you feel/what you want.

serialcatbuyer · 17/07/2024 23:36

When people write like I went to park instead of the park. It reads like they're little babies, little tellytubbies or something

Dusta · 17/07/2024 23:37

Ask me what I’m having for lunch while eating theirs

like I hate it. Why does it concern you 😂 it’s not going to change your lunch . (I also have deep rooted food issues 😅)

You’ve covered it off quite nicely, for me.

I will add:

  • Loud forced laughter
  • Cyclists who don’t wear helmets, even more so cyclists who don’t put helmets on their also cycling small children.
Dusta · 17/07/2024 23:39

Oh and parking like 3 inches in front of my car 😂 tired of it

MonsteraMama · 17/07/2024 23:39

Faffing.

Please for the love of god just do the fecking thing without adding 276 unnecessary steps.

TwattyMcFuckFace · 17/07/2024 23:40

I'm menopausal.

I can't possibly choose ONE thing! 🤬🤣

StirlingMallory · 17/07/2024 23:41

Be too loud. The volume's been turned up on life in general & I've lost the remote.

Silverfoxette · 17/07/2024 23:42

Walking in a straight down a street or in the shopping centre and people just walking right in front of me to go into a shop without even acknowledging they’ve cut me off.

I actually did this - a quy came to my house to quote for some tree works. He had already pissed me off by arriving two hours late ( excuse “I was in an important meeting”) then sat at the outside table to prepare the quote leaving me hovering awkwardly and was sniffing every few seconds. I went and got a box of tissues, put them in front of him and said “you clearly need to blow your nose, here are some tissues”.

Other than that like most women of a certain age I am easily annoyed by the sheer existence of other people.

TwattyMcFuckFace · 17/07/2024 23:48

Starting every conversation with 'So'...

Ditto starting with 'I mean'...

Using the word 'gotten' if you're not American. I don't give a shit if it's an old English word, that's not why people are using it today.

Ditto using the word 'pissed' when you mean angry and not drunk.

Also saying you're 'sick' when you mean 'ill'. To me 'sick' will always mean nauseous and not that you have a cold.

Also, 'I had a fight with my friend' when you mean 'argument'. Unless it turned physical it was not a fight.

And last but by no means least, when what seems like 90% of Mumsnetters say, "I don't like confrontation" because someone has suggested they simply communicate politely with another person who has upset them.

MrsGhastlyCrumb · 17/07/2024 23:48

If I only get one vote- people who think they are never wrong.

ToxicChristmas · 17/07/2024 23:51

The stopping dead in front of you walking really pisses me off. I went to Aldi the other day and it was fairly busy. The amount of people who would just randomly stop slap bang in the middle of an aisle to check their phone or have a chat was amazing. The total lack of awareness (or care) for what is going on around them.

Moveoverdarlin · 17/07/2024 23:52

People talking too much. Explaining the fucking obvious. My DH gives me chapter and verse over the most mundane things. I could say ‘Did you make it to Tesco? Rather than yes or a no, I’d get every tiny detail. He would also tell me the prices of things. That also bores the shit out of me.

XenoBitch · 17/07/2024 23:52

Existing, and being in my personal space.

SnowFrogJelly · 17/07/2024 23:55

Driving slowly or letting people out when lights are green

SnowFrogJelly · 17/07/2024 23:57

Agree I hate 'gotten', talking too much, stopping in front of me

TheNinjaWife · 17/07/2024 23:59

In many Asian cultures it is seen as impolite to blow your nose in public and sniffing is quite acceptable, likewise with spitting.

what annoys me the most is people stopping at the top or bottom of escalators or gathering to chat in doorways of shops etc.
