Mine would be people who constantly sniff when they have a cold and don't blow their nose. I just want to give them a tissue and scream at them to blow their nose. Especially if I'm next to them on a train.

Write women when they mean WOMAN.

When relaying a conversation
"So I turned around to him and said....then he's turned around to me and said.." WHY ARE YOU ALL TURNING AROUND I DON'T KNOW WHERE EVERYONE IS FACING

Oh God - I’m so glad someone has mentioned this! It absolutely grinds my gears 🤬. WTF does it even mean??

Username33141973 · 23/07/2024 17:20

And another thing (well several actually)
I admit to being a total grammar pedant but people who get these wrong:-
practice and practise
less and fewer
there, their and they’re
breath and breathe
lose and loose
could of, should of, would of - it should be could HAVE etc
Anyone who misuses me and I - ‘Mary and me went to the shops’ nope, it should be ‘Mary and I…’ John Torode on Masterchef is terrible for this and it makes me scream at the tv 😂
Better stop for the sake of my blood pressure!

RaraRachael · 23/07/2024 17:45

My OH does the "I turned around" and "She turned around" thing too. It really annoys me but I don't think he realises he's doing it

Curlygirl66 · 25/07/2024 16:31

LadyCrumpet · 17/07/2024 23:30

Everything.
Walk slowly.
Dead stop in the street.
Breathe.
Eat.
Talk.
Tap.
Fidget.
Click pens.
Play shit that should be on headphones too loud.
Drive like arseholes.
The list is endless.

Totally with you, and what’s with all this listening to your phone on loud speaker on public transport? Entitled or what??

Drives me insane. Grumpy bitch!! Oh and how about constant throat clearing?! Bastards!

Play Aswad to them 😀

Fuck yeah...just why?! Especially when it's "I am a women" or "As a women"... it makes my teeth itch

Mugaloaf · 28/07/2024 05:34

When people type something like:
His going to the pub with he's friends

TigerRag · 28/07/2024 07:48

When I've got earphones in and people try to talk to me

ssd · 28/07/2024 09:01

Sniffers

YUCK

User135644 · 28/07/2024 09:15

Incessant sniffing does my absolute head in.

But then their noise in general would be my answer.

Carefreebie · 29/07/2024 23:55

People who sit on the outside seat on the bus or train, to put people off trying to squeeze in.

I recently saw this list of tips in the Observer, about how not to annoy people, and it mentions some of the things mentioned on this thread:

So if you’re sitting on the inside and the person sitting by the window gets off the bus, are you obliged to move and take their place?

aardvarkpark · 30/07/2024 12:35

Quote anything from skibidi toilet.
I work with kids and I get so fed up of it. Another adult I work with encourages them and joins in with them and I want to scream.
Skibidi toilet can get in the bin.

graceinspace999 · 30/07/2024 19:44

Most of the above - plus people who can’t do the tiniest ‘good deed’ without starting a thread with some disingenuous query about their ‘good deed.’

Getting into a lift then suddenly a crowd comes along and start cramming themselves in.

I have a compromised immune system and this happened to me in the hospital today. When I pointed out the fact that the lift was full they all went deaf. I had to get out. This makes me furious.

LlynTegid · 30/07/2024 19:46

Lateness. I guess about 99% is avoidable.

What's that when it's at home😀

If I only get one vote- people who think they are never wrong.

Ditto😡

Anyone with a loud voice and a very loud shouty laugh when I'm trying to eat at a restaurant. I've had a few meals completely ruined by people at nearby tables who were deafeningly loud. I hate them.

Oh, dear. Sorry. (I said that at ordinary conversational volume, by the way.)

I was fully prepared to sneer at the Observer's article, but it was really good!

(I hog the aisle seat. I know it's dreadful form. I started doing it during the pandemic, and I don't trust strangers' germy breaths yet.)

Chucklit · 20/09/2024 00:31

Look at me like I've got three heads and then openly smirk at me and nudge whoever they're with so they do it too. Must've never seen an adult woman with black make up before.
Off you pop, I’m not judging your appearance. I could if I wanted to, but I’m not a bitch.

GivingitToGod · 20/09/2024 22:46

People who ask 'Did u have a nice Christmas'?'
Am I allowed to say 'No' ?
I don't like Christmas and it isn't a happy time for alot of people for alot of reasons

GiddyRobin · 21/09/2024 00:47

Walk slowly.
Mix up "bought" and "brought".
Text speak. Just type out the bloody word! It's not 1999 and you're not paying by message length! ARGH!
Sniffing.
Loud chewing.
Mouth breathing.
Foot jiggling.
"I could care less" - well then, you must care a fair amount so your argument is void!
Constant throat clearing.
Scrolling their phone during a conversation.

There's probably more!

Use leaf blowers. Or any other kind of power tool outdoors. But particularly leaf blowers, because they are so antisocial, so terrible for the environment, and so completely unnecessary.
