Toast tastes better being cut in to triangles. Dh does not agree.

Your dh is wrong.
Unless. There is a super crusty top and then if you do lengthways rectangles you get an equal amount of sprinkles on top and not one happy triangle and one sad triangle
I realise reading this back that I am possibly over tired

newpussmum · 16/07/2024 20:07

I cut mine into soldiers, regardless of whether I'm having a dippy egg...

Dearg · 16/07/2024 20:09

Triangles. So much more satisfying. But I need square slices of bread to keep it symmetrical

FuckMeUpFlorida · 16/07/2024 20:09

Triangular toast FTW

BiggerBoat1 · 16/07/2024 20:10

Of course triangles.
Your DH is an animal.

Triangles all the way for toast & sandwiches!

Maybe 😉😉

GasPanic · 16/07/2024 20:24

Toast for the toast rack - triangles.

Toast for immediate eating on the plate - rectangles.

AdviceNeeded2024 · 16/07/2024 20:27

I do both… but I find rectangles more satisfying, I love to slather the top rounder piece in butter, I don’t know why but it just tastes better

Depends what's on it.

Butter - squares

Anything else triangles.

Jeckyl · 16/07/2024 20:48

Left whole, possibly folded

motleymop · 16/07/2024 20:49

I'm a rectangle kinda gal

Fifthtimelucky · 16/07/2024 21:08

Normal sliced bread toasted: triangles
Decent bread not toasted: rectangles.

BadlandsofYorkshire · 16/07/2024 21:18

Sometimes I cut them into four squares to feel like I'm 5 again. When people are looking and judging, it's two boring rectangles.

I always cut in 4. I never realised anyone might judge.

Thevelvelletes · 17/07/2024 07:49

Whole or cut into strips if there's no nanbread for my curry.

I agree with although at home I just do rectangles, but if we are out or on holiday triangle toast tastes fancier 😃

EndorsingPRActice · 17/07/2024 07:51

I often go for a whole slice….

xsquared · 17/07/2024 08:08

Triangles.
You get a higher ratio of cut side to crust, meaning you taste the filling first rather than the crust.

EasterlyDirections · 17/07/2024 08:09

You don't cut toast, it is eaten whole.
