Or do you just not bother eating anything?

Looking for inspo as there's not really anything I want but I am slightly hungry 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Soup and bread.

moolady1977 · 09/07/2024 21:48

Normally packet noodles and frozen mixed veg for me

Shybutrude · 09/07/2024 21:48

Vegemite on brown bread toast or crunchy peanut butter on brown bread toast with lettuce and sometimes chili flakes (on the peanut butter, under the lettuce) or miso soup or a date if fancy sweet things (a friend had just given me some from Dubai which are amazing!)

You can't have ALL the toast - I want some. And Marmite is an abomination (although we have a jar in for my Mum, who is obviously a heathen!)

I want some too 😭

I had an egg and cheese omelette, only one egg to make a 'wrap' and I put a slice of bacon and a slice of square sausage in it. Square sausage isn't keto, but fuck it, it's not toast 😂

Chorizo omelette. I mean my go 2 would be cheese on toast but if I didn't have bread I'd make an omelette.

Shybutrude · 09/07/2024 21:54

Steamed new potatoes/ or sweet potatoes and litteh ,food of the gods!

Bollindger · 09/07/2024 21:57

I have portions of food in bags in freezer.
I just go grab something and nuke it.
Right now I have some curry from a month ago.

HighlandCowbag · 09/07/2024 21:58

When I am cutting UPF I do ham and eggs in the oven with a few cherry tomatoes, a handful of grated cheese.

Not perfectly UPF but not horrendously bad. Just butter a small dish, place ham in bottom, halved cherry toms, break 2 eggs over and cover with cheese, bake for about 10 mins. Filling and lush.

Have also done dirty scrambled eggs. Fry off whatever bits and Bobs I have in fridge, break a couple of eggs in and stir around until egg cooked.

Tesco used to sell a red lentil pasta that was UPF/wheat free friendly. Would make that and add butter and cheese, salt and pepper, any veg bits and bake for 5 mins.

Or brown rice, egg fried with soy sauce.

Non of then are perfect but all better than toast or pizza.

Tuna salad made with onions, celery and a little Mayo. You can switch it up with whatever you like. I’ll add seasoned rice vinegar. Add more veg, or stuff into a tomato if you have one. When I have no idea what to eat for dinner, we have tuna sandwiches but you aren’t eating bread.

This situation is one where all this cooking from scratch malarkey finds me out.

Sardines in tomato sauce (tinned) on toast. Plenty of pepper on top.

CheshireCat1 · 09/07/2024 21:59

A crisp butty

Snippit · 09/07/2024 22:00

Porridge or granola every time 😬

Nellieinthebarn · 09/07/2024 22:02

Apple dipped in peanut butter, digestive biscuits with cream cheese, cheese and crackers, an assembly of cheese, ham, crackers, pickles and fruit.

Curtaintails · 09/07/2024 22:02

Toast with peanut butter, chopped banana on top and a little honey on top.

Baital · 09/07/2024 22:03

Omelette. Just had one with spring onions and chorizo. Cooked the onions and chorizo a bit.longer than planned so.onions charred and chorizo crispy. Even better!

Shybutrude · 09/07/2024 22:07

Chickpea salad, I'll attach screen shot of recipe it's not mine I got it from Instagram last ingredient

Greek yoghurt and granola, or any cereal really!

pizzaHeart · 09/07/2024 22:09

Toast with cheese and lots of butter or porridge with apple or banana.
I always have at least one of these options.

Anything.
If I'm hungry enough, I'll eat whatever is in whether i fancy it or not. If I feel like I can pick and choose then I'm clearly not that hungry and I'll not bother.

I do that thing where I keep opening the fridge as though new stuff will have appeared in the ten minutes since I last looked in there.
