What would you do with it?

Book a holiday and use it to pay the deposit.

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 07/07/2024 21:45

Mulberry handbag.

NailsHairNipsHeels · 07/07/2024 21:45

Holiday, one is long overdue

merryhouse · 07/07/2024 21:45

puzzle books, chocolate, several pairs of boots/shoes, charity shop spree (I still need more clothes that fit and I want a new bag)

Kneeslikethese · 07/07/2024 21:46

£500 to convert sons acoustic drums into an electric kit
£500 for daughter coz she's just finished her gcse's

Temporaryname158 · 07/07/2024 21:46

Either £1000 mortgage overpayment or book a holiday for October half term

FknOmniShambles · 07/07/2024 21:46

Get my garden stripped back. We are getting married next month and completely skint, but garden is currently an embarrassing jungle!

Theimpossiblegirl · 07/07/2024 21:46

I'd book a city break. Barcelona or Copenhagen.

ricekrispi · 07/07/2024 21:46

I’d have to put it towards debts. If not it would be car repairs and a new dishwasher, both of which are desperately needed

DuckyShincracker · 07/07/2024 21:47

Give it to my bff who's worrying about money and returning to work after her secondary cancer treatment.

LibertyDuck · 07/07/2024 21:47

Pay you to stop using gifted as a verb.

DrCoconut · 07/07/2024 21:47

I have a lot to do in my house but the way I'm feeling at the moment I'd probably book a nice holiday.

😂👏

ShaunaSadeki · 07/07/2024 21:48

Braces! Pay the dentist £1k then whack the rest on an interest free CC.

if that doesn’t count and it can’t go towards something I would buy: a new fridge freezer, a nice yoga mat, a shiatsu session, a hoodie and some Ren Moroccan Rose Body Oil

BouleDeSuif · 07/07/2024 21:48

Clothes. Shoes that don't hurt. School uniform for next year. Shoes for child.

Buy an electric wheelchair. I don't need one all the time, so feel guilty spending so much on one. But my arms are too weak to self propel (they are weaker than my legs) so on bad days I am just stuck at home
(I do have savings, but just don't feel I can justify using them for this, but a random windfall then I would!)

I should pay off debt. But it’s on a 0% cc so not urgent.

Holiday is top of my list.

Straight in my premium bonds account which is currently standing at £5k balance. I'm saving towards a house move & premium bonds is the easiest way to save & prevents me from raiding my savings. I nèed to give a few weeks notice to withdraw the money so not easily accessible.

Theimpossiblegirl · 07/07/2024 21:53

Don't blame the education system. Gifted is a modern term that's been adopted to mean having been given a gift. Language evolves and changes all the time.
