That thick yellowy foundation that looks like jaundice

Misogynistic and racist! You sound delightful. Reported. I appreciate that you didn’t have bad intentions with your thread OP but unfortunately some people are too unpleasant to appreciate this.

I tried to reply to that post and now it's gone.

Well.. MN aren’t feeling the need to delete my racist, misogynistic and now homophobic posts so you may need to give your head a bit of a wobble and stop with the insults.

I love seeing men in dresses and skirts. I love the boost of confidence it seems to give them.

I am guilty of wearing flowery dresses with trainers but I work in the care/support industry and practical footwear is a must.

Crocheted anything. Crochet is for car seat covers, cushion covers, bedspreads, sofa throws - if you absolutely must have crochet. Crochet clothing should NOT be a thing. It just makes you look like you really love your nan.

Everything else, meh, I can put up with it. But NOT CROCHET.

No, no, no, crochet is for toilet roll covers

Mostlycarbon · 07/07/2024 19:35

I would need an hour to write down all the examples for England (have not visited anywhere in Wales or Scotland this year). By contrast were this Italy or France, probably only a minute maximum (I was in France six weeks ago).

Ugh no. France? The level cigarette smoking. The terribly sun damaged skin. The ubiquitous puffer coats. The too skinny older women with the terribly damaged leathery skin and smoking cigarettes 😂

I’m sure I read recently there’s a style/vibe called grannycore. I think some crochet cardigans etc can be gorgeous.

I'm really upset that this thread with fairly light-hearted intentions has gone south.

Baggy legged jeans, high waisted jeans, flared jeans. In fact anything baggy legged, high waisted or flared! Never seen them look nice on anyone irl

LetsPlayShadowlands · 07/07/2024 18:46

Hairy men are offensive? Body hair offends you? Oh lord this thread.

Yes!! Some like them smooth . Some like them hairy. I'm in the first amp!!!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/07/2024 21:30

Tiered dresses or skirts . I pick something off the rack , think "Oh that looks nice ....." then see it has bloody tiers . I need some new dresses for holidays but everywhere still tiers .

Leggings that are nearly see through . If you want tights , wear tights under something . I really don't want to see someones pants under a sheer pair of leggings . Or even worse , their arse cheeks if they wear a thong

And false mega-lashes/lips/ brows/nails ( especially how dirty some false nails are when you see the underside <boak>)

SittingHereInLimbo · 07/07/2024 22:15

I love wide-leg jeans and high-waisted skirts, jeans, whatever, think I look great in them—and I'm not bothered in the slightest if other people on this thread can't stand the sight of them or think they're tacky.

It's not aimed at me personally and they have a perfect right to their opinions.

The key to looking good is feeling good yourself! I walk differently when I'm wearing something I, personally, think looks amazing!

sarahc336 · 07/07/2024 22:26

Constant gym wear 🙄

DontThinkJustDo · 07/07/2024 22:50

Nude coloured chub rub underwear worn as shorts with nude crop tops. You forgot to put a dress on love.

I think we have learnt from this thread, that there isn't a fashion choice in existence that doesn't offend somebody 😂
It is certainly subjective. No matter how cool/understated/trendy/appropriate that you think your clothes are, while you're being offended, there are 👀judging your attire right back. 😂

Me too! I lead a very active life, walk everywhere, it is suitable attire for my lifestyle. I don't wear it to a restaurant 😂

ellebelli · 08/07/2024 11:42

I think everyone who wears dresses and usually white trainers look nice.
It's just not "me"
I am a skinny jeans and vest top girl, but lately have got into wearing high waisted flared jeans, I personally think they look good and suit me.
I also love birkenstocks.
But yes to the very obviously false eyelashes that seem everywhere right now! It's baffling,it does not look good.
Another look is white socks pulled up over leggings and trainers that I'm seeing alot of.
Personally don't like super long nails either, which is usually coupled with said eye lashes!

Alwaystimeforacupoftea · 08/07/2024 12:16

I don't like men without shirts in shops or restaurants. I don't want to have to negotiate a narrow aisle with a sweaty man with BO thanks. Don't care whether they are hairy or not, don't care whether they are in the park or on the beach. Indoor clothing is best for all, I feel.
