That's it really, has your postal vote arrived in time?

Yes, but only just - the day before we went away

slavetothekittens · 02/07/2024 20:13

Yes, posted it off a few days ago.

BendingSpoons · 02/07/2024 20:13

Yes, mine arrived ages ago (at least a week, longer I think).

PlantDoctor · 02/07/2024 20:13

Yes, came about a week ago. If yours hasn't arrived, maybe check whether you can go to a polling station if that's an option for you. I don't know if it's possible though?

summeroccupation · 02/07/2024 20:13

Yes, will post it tomorrow.

Girlwithapple · 02/07/2024 20:13

Yes, mine arrived probably around 10 days ago.

Yes, will post it tomorrow.

Not sure you can rely on it getting there in time given the rubbish postal system!

GreenSmithing · 02/07/2024 20:16

Yes, it arrived 13 days ago. I posted it the day after it arrived - 2 weeks before the election.

Longma · 02/07/2024 20:17

Yes. We filled them in last week and they have been posted off.

Thevelvelletes · 02/07/2024 20:17

Yes on Saturday..filled in .. posted on Monday.

Notsuredontknow · 02/07/2024 20:19

Mine came this morning and I posted it straight away. I had chased and they said if it didn’t show I could collect from from them, fill out there and leave it with them

Jennalong · 02/07/2024 20:20

Yes and returned , all about a week ago.

It's not an option unfortunately.

Yes, I sent it off last week. It came about a week before that.

Newslett · 02/07/2024 20:36

Yes, don’t know exactly when but I completed and posted it the Saturday before last and we definitely had them a few days before that. Guessing they came two weeks ago.

newpussmum · 02/07/2024 20:49

If you get it too late to post back you can get someone to drop it off at your polling station for you.

Failing that contact your town hall tomorrow and tell them. Not sure what they can do but worth a punt.

Ouchfuckingouchmyarse · 02/07/2024 20:58

Nope. And we are away til after the election now. Had the acknowledgement on the 19th saying they would send it out but didn't arrive by the time we left on the 28th. Not happy!

AppleKatie · 02/07/2024 21:01

Yes arrived 2 Saturdays ago, filled in and returned same day so hope that’s long enough 😱

user1471453601 · 02/07/2024 21:05

Yes, the day they said I'd receive it. South Yorkshire, if the area is pertinent. I think it might be, because most complaints seem to be from some parts of London and Scotland.

AthenaBasil · 02/07/2024 21:06

I know some people who can’t vote as they didn’t come in time and they’re on holiday now. Quite a lot of Scots had to register for postal votes due to the election happening in the first week of school holidays.

Nat6999 · 02/07/2024 21:09

I received 2, rang up & got told to destroy one of them.

Scissorsisters · 02/07/2024 21:11

Why have you left it so late to chase it up?

mondaytosunday · 02/07/2024 21:22

I applied two weeks before I was scheduled to go on holiday and it arrived after I left, barely a week before the election.

Teebles007 · 02/07/2024 21:35

Yes. Posted it back a week ago

Dampfnudeln · 02/07/2024 21:44

I received my overseas postal vote 10 days ago and posted it straight back. This weekend I received a second postal vote (as did DH). It wasn’t a duplicate as it had a different ballot paper number. My local council told me to complete and return that vote too and they will “sort it out*. Slim to vanishing chance that the second vote will arrive in time to be counted. I’m worried that neither will count in the end.
