Can you sleep uncovered?

I can't. Even in this heat I need to have a blanket of some sort. Not for warmth! But I need to feel covered, preferably with a bit of weight, so a sheet isn't enough for me.

Currently have a cotton counterpane over me.

No. Even if it's just a sheet I need something.

Deathbywhy · 25/06/2024 22:56

Yep, I need something over me too so that the monsters can’t grab my feet as easily

Talipesmum · 25/06/2024 22:56

No, but a thin sheet works ok. Or empty duvet cover.

Lady1576 · 25/06/2024 22:57

Same here! Absolute minimum is covered feet!

SisterAgatha · 25/06/2024 22:57

No I can’t! It’s very irritating. Needs to be a sheet or just one leg. Although I just fell asleep in the garden so it must be possible if tired enough! Haha!

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 25/06/2024 22:57

I've got a linen duvet for this kind of weather. I can't sleep at all without a duvet. But also can't sleep under a duvet that's too heavy.

TooLateForRoses · 25/06/2024 22:57

No incase bats nibble my toes

No incase bats nibble my toes

(Even though I don't have any bats in the house)

neilyoungismyhero · 25/06/2024 22:58

Same here. A sheet will suffice but I have to be covered. I've often wondered why though.

Starlightstarbright3 · 25/06/2024 22:58

This is me exactly in bed too hot

Normallynumb · 25/06/2024 22:59

No, not at all, I need something to cover my face!
I have a 4.5 tog duvet on all year round and take it out of the cover when it's warm

SleepEatSnoozeRepeat · 25/06/2024 22:59

Not something heavy, but at least a sheet. I’m not sure why as I normally wake up uncovered anyway. It must be a security thing. Or subconscious fear of spiders rubbing themselves on me.

MorvernBlack · 25/06/2024 23:00

No, I need to be covered, nothing weighty though - I don't like that either, but usually just an empty duvet cover. It's not hot here anyway, so the duvet is still in irs cover.

TheLastTimeEver · 25/06/2024 23:01

Of course I can’t. I’m not a maniac ffs.

mynameiscalypso · 25/06/2024 23:01

I have taken the duvet out the cover tonight so just sleeping under the latter. I would prefer something with a bit more weight to it but we don't have quite the right thing. I like the idea of a linen duvet at an earlier poster mentioned.

FictionalCharacter · 25/06/2024 23:01

I can’t. I’m using an empty duvet cover. But weirdly I don’t need my legs and feet covered, just my top half.

placemats · 25/06/2024 23:02

I have my dehumidifier on and this has been a boon. I need a covering on at night. Thankfully temperatures haven't got above 15C here during the night.

Same! What's that all about do you think? 🤔

LightSpeeds · 25/06/2024 23:03

No. I need to be covered with something...

FunIsland · 25/06/2024 23:04

Of course, I’m not crazy! I definitely need a blanket of some description to protect me from burglars.

Alwaystired2023 · 25/06/2024 23:04

Yes, I could literally sleep in the middle of Tesco

AdditionalCharacter · 25/06/2024 23:06

Depends which way I'm facing. If I like facing out, I have to have my mid covered, but legs sticking out. If facing DH, I don't, but the covers do need to be touching my legs.

ErrolTheDragon · 25/06/2024 23:06

I don't like sleeping uncovered either. It's middling hot here tonight so I'm down to a sheet and cellular cotton blanket. There's usually a light quilted cover and then a single duvet on top of that ... I don't like duvets as such.
If we're away from home I take a thin full length dressing gown which I can use as a cover if it's too hot.

GettingAwayFromYou · 25/06/2024 23:07

Nope! Same as you.

KarenSmithsWeatherBoobs · 25/06/2024 23:08

I can sleep uncovered but I can't sleep naked.
