Once it hits a certain temperature why do men have to take their tops off?!

I mean, everyone else copes but no the poor man has to show he’s extra hot by taking off his top

Very true

Yet still so many people get their knickers in a twist over breast feeding in public

RomeoRivers · 21/06/2024 15:18

If it was socially acceptable for women to do the same, then so would I! I hate wearing clothes when it’s hot 😂

justforthisnow · 21/06/2024 15:18

Agree. Funny how it's never the lads who spend hours in the gym either.

TooLateForRoses · 21/06/2024 15:20

We don't have to take our clothes off
To have a good time, oh no

Just do it

BodyKeepingScore · 21/06/2024 15:21

If he’s warm and can easily cool himself down by removing a layer of clothing why is this an issue? At what age does it start to become and issue for you for a male to remove his top on a hot day? 6? 10? 15?

aileta · 21/06/2024 15:21

Its like the law here in glasgow, "taps aff", but be careful not to look directly at these men, the sun bouncing off their white bodies will literally blind you!

MrsTerryPratchett · 21/06/2024 15:23

I loathe it. On a beach, great. In Tescos sliding past me, Envy

Why are they sliding?

They'll be bright red in a day which helps.

Why are they sliding?

Because they are invariably sweaty.

Ewwwwwww

Nottherealslimshady · 21/06/2024 15:25

Becuase its not socially acceptable for them to wear crop tops or flowy light summer dresses.

I'm 30w pregnant and wearing short shorts and a crop top. I'm hot, i don't care if you're offended by the sight of my belly. Sure they feel the same.

rkahic · 21/06/2024 15:26

I’m male but agree with what you say, it’s like , look at me I’m gods gift or a fat beer belly flopping all over, Britains finest. No problem abroad on the beach or by the pool, but in Tesco, no thanks

Fairyliz · 21/06/2024 15:31

Urgh yes those pasty, sweaty, hairy bodies on show 🤮.
I thought in countries where it is genuinely hot (as apposed to 20 degrees) people wear loose flowy clothes not strip off?

MissMoneyFairy · 21/06/2024 15:35

So that we can all admire their six packs

All night even

Icantpaint · 21/06/2024 15:38

Interesting
men in hot weather should only take clothes off to cool down if they’re tanned and muscular. Otherwise they should stay covered up?

EmeraldRoulette · 21/06/2024 15:39

All night even

And drink some cherry wine

uh huh

Sunny hot countries they wear flowy natural fibres. Sun and skin is bad. In the jungle, often is next to or actually nothing. Because humid and clothes is bad.

When it gets to 40 degrees and 75% humidity in the shade, they can take their shirts off.

aileta · 21/06/2024 15:40

MrsTerryPratchett · 21/06/2024 15:24

This is true and we don't get too many sunny days so usually I can go about my day without having to witness such sights!

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 21/06/2024 15:40
Grin
IWantToBeASleepingCat · 21/06/2024 15:43

Worst thing is men deciding they will wear their holiday sandals/ flipflops without doing anything to their feet.
Manky toes and fungal nails.
Hard crusty skin black heels.

Arlanymor · 21/06/2024 15:43

Outside I couldn’t care less, but inside absolutely not. The Tesco example by @MrsTerryPratchett is exactly the scenario I am thinking of, narrow aisles and sweaty bodies, not a good mixture. I don’t want some shiny wet bloke looming over me when I’m bagging up my carrots.
