What drink do you have with a full English?

Went out for brunch today and had a full English and realised I was struggling when asked what drink I wanted with it. I ended up getting an iced latte as it was a hot day and we were outside.

What drinks do you guys go for?

I usually do an orange juice but do love a flavoured hot/ iced coffee aswell.

Same as if I'm having steal and eggs: tomato juice or a bloody mary. Cuz if I'm eating like it's 1962 then I'm drinking like it's 1962.

Depends if hungover Coke and tea if not probably just tea.

this is a bizzare thread question but I’m here for it 😂

Nat6999 · 22/06/2024 04:48

Fresh orange juice.

Pontipinecity · 22/06/2024 05:53

My instinct said tea but actually I’d probably prefer a coffee.

sashh · 22/06/2024 05:59

Water or fruit juice.

I know I'm wierd.

@ZZTopGuitarSolo ahhh, a kindred! 😊

*and I meant steak and eggs... 🤦‍♀️

I was going to say a large Navy strength rum, but was afraid that you'd all look down on me, so I'll plump for tea. Coffee in the past, but I've had to cut down, because of high blood pressure.

abracadabra1980 · 22/06/2024 06:40

Tea

Wistfullythinking · 22/06/2024 06:46

A mug of tea!

Girasoli · 22/06/2024 08:08

A cappuccino or a fancy juice/non alcoholic cocktail (only really have an English breakfast if I go out)

Ginmonkeyagain · 22/06/2024 08:18

Extra strong builder's tea in a big mug obviously. The only option.

Last massive cooked breakfast I had was in the USA and that was not available as a drink (obviously) and it did feel a bit wrong.

PinkTonic · 22/06/2024 08:29

On holiday last week I had freshly squeezed orange juice and two cups of coffee every day.

If I went out for brunch I’d probably have a Bloody Mary and coffee to follow.

CrunchyCarrot · 22/06/2024 08:36

I'd always have apple juice. If not available, then water.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 22/06/2024 09:33

Latte with my full Scottish

connie26 · 22/06/2024 09:38

Tea. Coffee doesn't go well with savoury food.

SinnerBoy · 22/06/2024 11:41

Looks pityingly at connie26

frenchfancy81 · 22/06/2024 11:45

Tea and water or tea and a diet coke if a night out happened the night before!!

Scorchio84 · 22/06/2024 11:47

I hate tea & coffee to me is nearly a meal in & of itself, so orange juice

AffIt · 22/06/2024 11:56

Tea, although I'm an habitual coffee drinker.

I'm not sure why, but coffee with food feels weird.

Oldraver · 22/06/2024 12:17

Orange juice and maybe hot chocolate ( usually only have full English in a hotel)

sakura06 · 22/06/2024 12:27

Tea or orange juice or both!

AppleKatie · 22/06/2024 12:41

Tea at home

Tea and fruit juice if out.

merryhouse · 22/06/2024 12:47

orange juice (or grapefruit if it's there and I'm feeling fancy) and a cup of tea, followed by coffee

Onacuctustree · 22/06/2024 12:50

Tea and if we are being a bit posh...orange juice before.

linelgreen · 22/06/2024 13:06

If its a brunch event then Champagne, Prosecco or Bucks Fizz always goes down well
