What drink do you have with a full English?

Went out for brunch today and had a full English and realised I was struggling when asked what drink I wanted with it. I ended up getting an iced latte as it was a hot day and we were outside.

What drinks do you guys go for?

I usually do an orange juice but do love a flavoured hot/ iced coffee aswell.

This is very impolite and untrue. Please try not to bring this sort of attitude to threads like this. It’s not nice

Um...it was a joke...

So I'm definitely the only person who has ever had a caramel iced latte with mine!

That's like eating a pudding at the same time as breakfast.

I am not entirely sure about a full English at all. I know there are regional variations. I am Irish, living in Scotland and we probably have more fried bread stuffs than English people, and then people have things like beans and hash browns. I like beans, but not on a plate with egg. I am nit entirely sure what a hash brown is, but I get enough potato without some grated or battered or whatever it is, potato with fried bread. I don't like sausages. The whole thing is not appealing and just raises questions for me.

I do like brunch though! I am the person who will order bacon and poached egg on avocado sourdough with a side of mushrooms and idgaf if that sounds pretentious. It is so tasty, light enough to feel good after, but so satisfying. Our local cafe does a chilli dressing that just makes it amazing. I have it with decaf green tea.

If I am having celebratory brunch before/after a special occasion I will do a wee breakfast buffet and people help themselves. But I put out prosecco with the tea and coffee.

Pretty sure the tea police will be out to correct your deeply disturbing move. ALWAYS tea.

The Tea Police - I'd definitety be up for joining that division of the Police! Tea is essential with an English breakfast. Occasionally, I'd also have a prosecco if it is like a Sunday brunch.

A cooked breakfast is not my thing as I don’t eat meat but also hate eggs beans mushrooms and tomatoes so while understand it’s lots of people’s perfect meal as a treat it’s probably one of the worst for me!

to answer your question coffee. Maybe a little glass of orange juice but hot coffee

I can’t quite compute an iced latte with a cooked breakfast but if you like it go for it!

Ukholidaysaregreat · 22/06/2024 00:04

Tea and fresh orange juice.

This. Exactly this.

Watero · 22/06/2024 00:08

Orange juice, back when I was younger a lucozade after wilder nights. I hate tea and coffee, I await the arrival of the tea police at my house 😅

A can of full sugar coke, live tea but not with a fry up

Water. I couldn't drink a hot drink with a meal although thinking about it manage to eat coffee and cake but somehow that's different.

gillefc82 · 22/06/2024 04:26

Usually a cup of tea, either alone or sometimes with a fresh orange juice too. However, if I’m at the airport on the way to my holidays, then it will be a tea and an ice cold Corona with a slice of lime!
