Something about humans recognising for a second that they have to stop and help for the greater good.

Road kill makes me so sad

My friend got me the 20th anniversary edition of Fallen by Evanescence for Christmas last year. It has a live recording of My Immortal from when I saw them at the O2 arena in November 2022. Unbeknownst to me I was pregnant at the time, found out a few weeks later then had a miscarriage at the start of December. Can't listen to it without crying. I can't even think about what happened without crying.

Currently 36 weeks pregnant, and thinking about my little boy and how much I love him already makes me cry too. 💙

Anything to do with the Holocaust. The day after I married my ex husband we went to the Imperial War Museum, and I cried the entire time we went round the Holocaust exhibit.

Most of The Repair Shop stories about people’s heirlooms etc.

Most memorable one was a lady bringing in a painting of Mary and Jesus which hung at her grandfather’s church in Ukraine. Her grandmother, mum and aunt were sent to a work camp and managed to smuggle the painting (on canvas minus board) and stitched into one of their coats. No idea how coat got reunited with her mum and aunt - grandmother died in the camp. As most personal possessions were burnt, melted, destroyed.

Lady wanted to take painting back to the church but she can’t because of the situation in Ukraine.
