Beko oven broke down after very short time. Customer service not helpful at all and will not repair. I suspect it is only the element that has gone which is very cheap to replace (but I wouldn't know how) so they are just being arseholes really by not attempting to fix.

Unreliable products and shoddy service.

I've never had any issues with Beko products but don't start me on Hoover, my 6 month old washing machine has reluctantly been repaired twice, and the amount of calls I get from them is almost like stalking to take out extended warranty!

If it's under a year old they should fix it under warranty.

My Beko fridge is still going strong after around 15 years.

We once had a Beko oven. It was useless. Even after being on for ages we could actually put our hand on the floor of the oven, it took forever for anything to cook. The engineer said that’s just how they are. Never again. We got it swapped for a different make as not fit for purpose.

Look up the sake of goods act. Goods must be fit for purpose and you can ask for a refund (proportional depending on age of product) on that basis. So if it’s two years old you may not get the full amount back but you should get something as a brand new cooker should not break down in two years.

I have a beko fridge freezer, over 10 years old, works perfectly fine BUT every so often it makes a noise like a cow mooing, it's always done it, according to Google it was a common thing with them

Broke down after a very short time....How short? Surely electrical items have a 12 month warranty. Get your receipt and take it back (Or notify them that you want to return it as not of merchantable quality.

YouTube will show you how to change an element. It's easy and I am shit at DIY stuff.

I've had Beko appliances and they've been fine - our washing machine was 12 years old when we gave it away recently, and our dishwasher has been fine, too.

Why are customer services saying they won't repair?

I've never had any issues with Beko. My tumble dryer is 15 years old, my washing machine is 13 years old, hob is 13 years old.

How long have you had the oven?

I had an older Beko cooker for years and loved it, it died rather spectacularly so i got another Beko to replace it thinking it would be just as good, i could not have been more wrong, ive just replaced it with a leisure almost exactly a year later

My Beko dishwasher broke after 2 years, will never buy from them again.

I have had many Beko products and they have all been durable and reliable. Not an oven though, so perhaps their ovens are just bad?

Can't you look up how to replace the element and do it yourself? It's not a difficult job. there must be a video online.

i bought a cheap beko dishwasher, and it was faulty.. contacted beko customer services, they not only replaced my dishwasher, they upgraded me to their top of the range one.

i can't fault their customer service

Yep element very easy to replace and fit yourself. I had to do it 3 days before Christmas!

My Beko fridge is 14 years old. It's about on its last legs now, but I paid so little for it, it's earned its keep.
My washer is also Beko and I've had it for 8.
I'd definitely buy again.
Just because sometimes some things are faulty, doesn't mean the entire brand is useless.

You should be dealing with the retailer, not the manufacturer.

This isn’t completely true. After 6 months of purchase, the onus is on the customer to prove that it has an inherent fault (and not caused by damage or misuse). And at that point, even if it is proven there is an inherent fault, it’s the retailer that has a responsibilty to the customer, not the manufacturer (though I appreciate they may be one and the same). That responsibility means repairing, replacing or refunding (at the retailer’s choice) and if a refund then yes if can be reduced in line with how long the customer has had it.

Beko may offer a warranty (which is seperate to your statutory rights) but they can impose any terms they want on it.

So what we really need to know is how long the OP has had it and who they bought it from.

I've had a Beko fridge freezer and a dishwasher for about six years now and both have been great so far. The fridge freezer does make a gurgling noise sometimes but I was expecting this from the reviews I read before I bought it.

My Beko washing machine (touch wood) has been great. Probably 8 years old. One before that was a second hand Beko and equally good !

My Beko fridge freezer is about 20 years old and still going strong, but if I were to replace it, I'd probably go for Bosch or something.

If you can't replace the element yourself, get a local appliance repair guy in. Not someone affiliated with a brand or a store, an independent. I was very pleasantly surprised at how little our local one charged and it got us another couple of years out of an ancient tumble dryer.

I've got a Beko washing machine (12 years old), tumble dryer (c7 years), dishwasher (2 years) and FF (maybe 5-6 years old). Only time I had an issue was the washing machine - customer services were super helpful (they're a rare company who don't outsource their customer care, and their agents are based in UK), and a technician came round and sorted it within a couple of days. And also educated us on the cause of the fault (us using the full spin speed with less than half a load, meaning it was unbalanced and putting too much strain on the motor - we had been overriding the set programme to increase the speed, so definitely user error!)

They're my 'go to' for appliances. Lots of them have 10 year parts warranties now too (not the most basic ones, but the mid range upwards).
