It's Taylor Swift day here for us so we're up bright & breezy just having a cuppa & breakfast. I didn't have the best sleep so hopefully won't be too tired later!

I need to finish snipping loose ends off the jacket I added tassels to, months ago 🙈 then start getting ready.

Dd2's about to get in the shower so she can put in her heatless curler & dd1's mooching a bit aimlessly for now 🤷‍♀️

We're aiming to leave around 1pm ish to head to Anfield for merch and to trade bracelets before going in.

Tonight will be straight to bed for me when we get in, after a brew, so we can go explore Liverpool tomorrow. If anyone has any suggestions where to go I'd appreciate them!

What about all of you? 🙂

Have a lovely time @lucysmam!

We are off to the library this morning then a local church summer fair this afternoon although looking at the weather it may be an indoor fair!

Chicken tikka masala for dinner looking forward to it.

gingercat02 · 15/06/2024 09:20

Have the best time @lucysmam

oh wow @lucysmam all your planning and it's today - have a fantastic time - we need photos of the outfits and bracelets!!!!

Popfan · 15/06/2024 09:23

Have a great time @lucysmam !

frozendaisy · 15/06/2024 09:24

Good morning trying to badger H into making coffee but about to give up and make it myself

Swiftie day how exciting hope you get good bracelet swaps.

Personally I would go to Tate Liverpool and enjoy views across the mersey but depends what you are looking to do.

Formby beach is 20 minute train journey 20 minutes walk to the gormley statues on the beach

Crunchymum · 15/06/2024 09:25

I can't believe today is the day!! I know and your DD's have been looking forward to this for ages (and crafting your outfits. I bet you will all look amazing!!)

Have the best time and enjoy every second.

Nothing much for us today. Weather is pants again and kids are shattered so we are going to swim, run a few errands (I need to post a few packages and grab some supplies for lunch) We'll also change library books. Daddy should finish by lunchtime so he'll take kids out later to get me a birthday present / cake etc.

All very low key for us.

** birthday is early next week not today.

Going to get one of those Indian meal bag things from Waitrose for dinner later and kids just having left over meatballs and pasta

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 15/06/2024 09:25

We are off there today as well! Came up last night and went out to stadium for merch and to listen for a bit.

Had breakfast in hotel and just about to head out for a wander round Liverpool for a couple of hours then back to get ready.

Have the best time Lucysmam. Dd19 and dd16 went to see her at Anfield on Thursday and they absolutely loved it and apparently both cried 😂

They said she came on around 8pm (think she was waiting for the rain to stop) and the concert finished around 11.30pm. I’m sure you’ll have a brilliant time!

I’ve got a busy day today, dh and dd19 are at work and I need to put the house back together after the decorator finally finished yesterday. I’m on my third load of washing (been up since 5.30am as there was a power cut and all the house alarms in the street were blaring when the power came back on!) and I’m just waiting for my Tesco shop which is due any minute.

I have an appt to be waxed and have my nails done at 12.30pm and dd9 has a dance show rehearsal from 1pm - 4pm so my sister is dropping her off for me. I need to pick up a birthday present for dd9’s friend as when she gets back from dance she is going for a birthday sleepover. I also need to do a quick Iceland and Aldi run then get my suitcase down from the attic as I go away with my sisters early doors on Monday morning for a week and I haven’t started packing yet.

Tonight we’re having spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread for tea then dh is going out for a few drinks and me and dd16 will watch the last 3 episodes of Bridgerton before bed. I

Morning all.

Have the best time @lucysmam. I feel so happy it’s finally here for you. Can’t wait to hear your review.

We had some friends over last night to watch Scotland 😭. Was fun regardless of the result.

Lovely day here today. DH will do some stuff with the kids while I’m at work. Planning a quiet night tonight with a take away. This week has been super busy.

HearTheirEverywhere · 15/06/2024 09:32

We went to watch Taylor last night, absolutely fantastic ❤️
Got to be out of the hotel room by 11 so I’m just tidying up and packing our things away ready for the train ride home (train was packed on the way here, not looking forward to the train ride home 😬)

Good morning @lucysmam , I hope you all have a wonderful time at the concerts everyone!
So far I have put on a second load of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, made the bed, enjoyed a cheese and ham sandwich (just fancied one!), wound two skeins of yarn into balls, DH has taken the dog out and I’m sitting faffing on MN.
I actually feel completely wiped out, it’s been a stressful and tiring week. I intend to do very little today apart from watching the Trooping of the Colour because I love the pageantry.
No idea what we’re eating today, there’s plenty in the fridge and freezer so no chance of starving 😋

JMAngel1 · 15/06/2024 09:40

Feeling a bit poorly today with a very sore throat so still in bed. DH has been an Angel and brought me tea and then cappuccino and he’s done the big food shop.

Thinking about a hot bath to perk me up and then myself and DD2 will head to local village for Father’s Day cards/last minute additional pressies. Then going to pick up DD2 from her sleepover and I’ll have a quick cuppa and natter there as her friend’s mum is a good friend.
Then we’ll visit my Dad then back home for a lazy pizza and film night.
I fear I may not do much housework today - just feeling totally wiped with whatever this bug is.

Have a good day everyone and especially all you Swifties

JMAngel1 · 15/06/2024 09:41

Pick up DD1 from sleepover!

DrinksbytheSea · 15/06/2024 09:45

DH and I had a rare big evening, night out and overnight stay planned for later but our babysitter just cancelled and now I’m at a loss. We planned our entire weekend around it and I’ve been looking forward to it all week! Trying not to feel gutted but I’m moping around in my pyjamas not really knowing what to do with myself. DS is happily watching cartoons for now and I might make another coffee. I’ll keep an eye on this thread for inspiration!

MumChp · 15/06/2024 09:45

School has summer fair 1-4 pm. Great fun for the children. Not so much for parents. And of course it's raining.

Dd2 has an Outschool class at 6 pm. She has to practise for church choir too.

We could do with a bit of cleaning.

Nothing exciting on today.

haddockfortea · 15/06/2024 09:48

Morning all. I shall be having a bacon sandwich in a minute. Later on (if the rain stops) I will be out weeding the front garden.

I have just started to make some soup with the very last of what was left over from Christmas! There was a bag in the freezer labelled 'random turkey lumps' and it is about time they got used up. The cats will be in for a treat later.

FortunataTagnips · 15/06/2024 09:48

I can’t believe the day is finally here, after all your prep! Have a brilliant time, @lucysmam !

Grey and rainy here, agaaaain.
When DD’s carers arrive, DP and I will head out and probably go straight to our usual cafe for coffee and cake. Need to pick up a few bits - new baby card for my cousin, FD card for my dad, my exciting new salad bowl from Waitrose click and collect - and then get some lunch.

Not sure what we’ll have for supper - shopping’s coming this evening, so we’ll see what we all fancy.

A few more chapters of my utterly gripping library book about the German resistance in WWII.

Peridot1 · 15/06/2024 09:57

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone

I hope you all have a fabulous time at TS @lucysmam. And any one else who is going.

I was late up this morning but have had tea and toast and trying to summon up energy and motivation to go to the gym. The weather makes me so fed up I don’t want to do anything.

I have laundry to do and to put away. And need to start getting sorted for some work we are having done on the house which will involve much packing things away and moving things around and a complete mess for a while. Dreading it.

Hedjwitch · 15/06/2024 09:57

Dd2 and I will take cat to vet shortly for his booster. Need to get DDs car booked in somewhere for repair and figure out how she's going to get to work next week.(New job, shite public transport).
Then tidying mum's house to get it ready for viewings now that its on the market.
Bake a cake for friend's visit tomorrow.
Maybe some gardening if the rain holds off.

Oh no - what a shame. Can you not find another babysitter? Could you ask a good friend to have your DS for you?

gingercat02 · 15/06/2024 10:00

DH is away, and DS has just finished his GCSEs, so I'm expecting to be on my own most of the weekend.
I binged the last 3 episodes of Bridgerton last night, and I have a friend coming for drinks tonight.
Usual weekend chores, online shops, washing, and a bit of gardening
