It's Taylor Swift day here for us so we're up bright & breezy just having a cuppa & breakfast. I didn't have the best sleep so hopefully won't be too tired later!

I need to finish snipping loose ends off the jacket I added tassels to, months ago 🙈 then start getting ready.

Dd2's about to get in the shower so she can put in her heatless curler & dd1's mooching a bit aimlessly for now 🤷‍♀️

We're aiming to leave around 1pm ish to head to Anfield for merch and to trade bracelets before going in.

Tonight will be straight to bed for me when we get in, after a brew, so we can go explore Liverpool tomorrow. If anyone has any suggestions where to go I'd appreciate them!

I have just finished a yoga class, eaten my overnight oats on the train as I head to a barre class.

Then I’ve got a friend’s birthday party at a beer garden in East London but the weather is shite so I need to rethink what I’m going to wear!

I'm still lounging in bed. Have a fantastic time. I've recently been on a city break to liverpool and loved the Albert dock area, nice restaurants etc so worth having a look around. Beatles museum, ferry across the Mersey etc all right there too if you fancy something like that? And I loved the live music at The Cavern.

That will be us this time next week as dd has ticket for TS on Sat night.

We are going up to London on Fri eve and staying until Sun ( have booked the airb&b for 3 nights so altho not sleeping there on the 3rd night we don't have an early check out as a result )

dd has far too many ideas re what we will be doing in London !

Sometimes I think I'm the only person in the world who doesn't listen to Taylor Swift (although I do have Love Song on one of my playlists) 😆

Nothing much for me. Slept REALLY badly, so I feel pretty shit. DH just got home from a 12 hour night shift, so he's in bed. 3 teens are all still in bed. DD15 mentioned she's off to a sleepover today during dinner last night so no doubt ill need to play a taxi service.

I have the tesco delivery and laundry to do. If I have the energy I want to go to the range. Otherwise I'll be napping on the sofa.

I had a good old lie in this morning, going to do some housework this morning and then head into town for a wander before the cinema. Home for a lazy evening and hopefully Bridgerton! DD is meeting her friend so she’ll keep herself busy.

Oh finally your Taylor Swift Day! DD is Wembley in August.

We've finally made it to the last week of A Levels and GCSE mocks so I shall be continuing the theme of hiding and not speaking, and providing regular coffees and snacks. Can't wait for us to finally have a bit of "summer" fun after this week.

Mind you, I'm feeling quite poorly so I'll gladly not move off the sofa today.

The biggest DS caught the early train home from Liverpool this morning, he is at uni up there, so will be good to spend a bit of time with him over the weekend.
GCSEs finished for youngest yesterday, thank god, but the middle one still has A Levels next week!!
Pop to a nice local pub for a friends DHs 50th this evening and that’s it!

I've done absolutely nothing yet today - came back from school residential yesterday then had a 50th party last night so allowed myself a big lie in until 10 and I've mooched around drinking coffee since.

I need to muster myself to unpack, get laundry on and tidy the kitchen, remind the dc that it's Father's Day tomorrow, and go to see my mum.

Then, it's ds1's rugby dinner and presentation later so we'll go up for a drink. It won't be a late one though, so a Bridgerton binge and an early night are in order.

Volunteered as course checker and ran at Parkrun this morning so double run for me today. I'm still recovering from an injury and think I overdid things a bit!
Shopping and housework this afternoon.

Been lazy this morning and only just had a bath and got dressed. Washing the super king duvet atm and worrying it won't dry over the bannister before bed - I'm a fool!

Debating what to drag dd to today - think we will surf the charity shops and take the dog out, but it's drizzle and wind out there right now.

Taylor Swift day for my DD and her friends. Have sewn leaves on a dress, run her bath, then I'm off to the hairdressers, but I have to be crack to take photos before they set off. Work is insane (public sector) after a 55 hour week last week I need to do 6 hours over the weekend just to keep afloat.

Wanted to mow the lawn but grass is still soaking. Put a load of washing out on the line and now it's bloody raining again, it can stay out there whilst I eat crisps on the sofa instead
We've just done the weekly shop, I've just cleaned all the bathrooms / loos and now DH is fighting with a new carpet cleaner in the hallway.

How did you manage to get tickets @lucysmam?!

I got a couple of hours sleep yesterday evening then didn't sleep all night - headed off to visit hospital 8.15am to drop off flowers and cherries.

Then went into city centre and got breakfast, did banking, went to several shops for grooming things for patient, now home. Back to hospital later. Supermarket tonight.

The Albert Docks are a fab place to spend a day and the Museum of Liverpool is also nearby. I recommend the hop on/hop off bus for an interesting commentary as you tour the city.

I’ve had a productive morning and have now returned to my bed with a book for an hour or so. I think we’ll go out for lunch in a bit, it’s totally chucking it down (just for a change eh?) so hopes of a long walk on my own went out the window. I don’t mind brief showers or light spots but this has pretty much been torrential for hours. That’s a no from me! I might take ds for a swim later on today.

Slept bad ( pain insomnia).
Went to make my cuppa and empty dishwasher and bad hip ( previous fracture and osteoarthritis) went into spasm and went from underneath me. Managed to crawl to dining room table and got up.
So got my cuppa in one hand and crutch in other.. onto stairlift and back in bed.. with tens machine on and scrolling on here and vinted. I am now hungry so hopefully will ease off and l can go get something to eat... Will finish watching Clarksons farm.
Going out to a famous restaurant in leeds tonight.. ( usually see some of the Emmerdale cast there.
Staff are lovely.. they know I'm usually on my crutches.

I am still recovering from an awful virus that I picked up 2 weeks ago. Am on the mend now, just left with an annoying cough and not much energy so am plonked on the sofa half watching Trooping the Colour with DD12 next to me who is watching Dr Who episodes on her laptop.

Not planning to move much from the sofa this weekend in order to get myself well enough to go back to work next week so lots of tv, snacks and naps!

Good morning (just) @Lucysmam and others. I have had breakfast and two coffees then did a washing then went out for second breakfast with a friend. I'm just back and the washing is in the tumble dryer. This afternoon I'm going to meet another friend for coffee and cake. Enjoy Taylor Swift!

@CalicoPusscat we got a pre-sale code when we bought Midnights for dd1. Then lots of faffing with Ticketmaster because I'm a fool & kept logging on for the wrong day then getting it to show me different tickets to find ones in budget🙈

Afternoon all and happy TS day to those who are going!

I’m currently sitting in the departure lounge of the Eurostar waiting to board to go to Brussels.

DP set off on Thursday to cycle and I am taking the infinitely more comfortable option to cheer him over the finish line this afternoon.

We’ve got tonight in Brussels, then two nights in Bruges and one night in Ghent before train home on Wednesday. Should be lovely!

I’m listening to the Era’s Tour set list as I am taking my niece to Wembley in August and I don’t know her music well enough to do justice to the excitement of DN and I want her to have the best time! She’s SO excited!!

Not much at all. I am knackered after returning back to work after 2 weeks off and so are the kids after a busy week. The weather is not fantastic so we are having a lazy day indoors. I have done the housework and now planning on watching the new series of criminal minds. The children are playing their consoles. Dh has to work this afternoon but only for four hours.

Good afternoon @lucysmam & all - I was thinking about you last night actually lucysmam as DD15 was showing me a video of TS at Liverpool. She’s going to see her in Cardiff with her GF & I am trying not to be too jealous!! Have the best time!
It’s been an extremely stressful week so I’m glad not to be working until tomorrow & to have some me time. I tend to buy a lot for DD but lately I’m treating myself more. Went to Tescos to do the big food shop earlier & bought 3 Rimmel nailvarnishes as they were 3 for 2. A lovely bluey greeny one, a pale lime green & a lovely shade of a sort of corally red! Hard to describe. Will paint my fingernails lime green later to match my new peacock pattern dress. Still to open a leopard print midi which arrived a couple of days ago. Having smoked salmon & avocado bagels for brunch then may hang out a load of washing if the heavy showers hold off. Another load is in then I need to do DH’s white work shirts plus a TS cardi of DD’s on its own. Done the dishwasher & the surfaces need bleaching. Oh dear, what was I just saying about me time?! I’ll try to sit in the garden & read later if it stays dry. DH is hoping to go out cycling. Nice easy tea of salmon for me, chicken breast for DH with Jersey Royals & broccoli. DD is already at her GF’s. If we feel inclined, we might go out for a drive this evening & make the most of the light. Only just under a week until the longest day.
