what you cannot resist but dont need

not something you need but for instance you are drawn to when out shopping. my problem is;
dog beds. my dogs have at least 3 beds each and dont use any of them but out shopping I am drawn to the soft fluffy furry little beds I cannot resist them!
Mugs; I have enough to start a cafe but I get drawn to them like a magnet, there is always one pattern or picture mug that I just dont have but really need to!

Colourful jewellery, especially enamel bangles.

Stationery.

Knickers.

As pp said, men! Noted the many Reddit threads suggesting the desperate lad should hang around Target, as women are already in there looking for things they don’t need.

😆😆😆

Bbq1 · 13/06/2024 20:10

Books
Candles
Crisps

SabbatWheel · 13/06/2024 20:17

Outdoor brooms.
I have 4 at home and 6 up the stables. Only one is ‘ideal’.
If I spot brooms for sale, I always have to try them out in the shop 🙈

moimichme · 13/06/2024 20:21

For me: books, handbags and more recently, skincare/makeup

For DH: whisky glasses but also fancy glasses in general, nowadays

KatRee · 13/06/2024 20:22

Pretty little boxes that are too small to keep anything in

SOxon · 13/06/2024 20:26

picture frames - we are running out of walls - occasionally these will contain
a picture or mirror : I cannot walk past a box of frames without a rummage, although I am selective

MagicalHat · 13/06/2024 20:32

Kids books. Our local charity shop do them £10 for a 1. We have a mini library of about 400 books. The kids love it.

Plants and plant pots

Serving pots/jugs/bowls/ general bric & brac. Came out of the charity shop yesterday with another mixing bowl and 2 retro olive oil jugs. Didn’t need them but couldn’t resist.

CoastalCalm · 13/06/2024 20:34

Notebooks and then I end up keeping them for best , this morning I cracked open a moleskin one as decided it’s ridiculous

TheChosenTwo · 13/06/2024 20:41

Second hand books
Bed Linen
Ridiculously expensive coffee beans that claim to have citrus tones.....

Kokomjolk · 13/06/2024 20:48

Children's clothes. I just love them but we get so many hand me downs from cousins that my kids rarely need new things. Which is good but it's such a treat when they legitimately need something! I always go and look at them though. Especially outdoor clothes for some reason.

lucysmam · 13/06/2024 20:49

Red lippy - or any make up really. Just to try, more often than not! Rarely wear much these days.

Perfume/body spray. I'm resisting the urge to replace a lovely Ghost one I bought around Christmas at the mo & use some up.

Craft supplies. Currently beads. It'll be something else soon 🤷‍♀️

chickennoodless · 13/06/2024 20:51

Vintage brooches
silk scarves
nike trainers
christmas books - cook or craft based
1930’s vases
pink lipstick
unusual perfume

TroysMammy · 13/06/2024 20:53

Card making craft supplies.
Plastic food storage boxes.
I've had to give myself a shake when I'm in the Range and find myself drawn to the craft and plastic box aisles.

pinkzebra02 · 13/06/2024 21:01

Skincare, especially serums (even though I'm still not 100% sure what they are). Clothes, especially socks. Bars of chocolate.

Lipsticks. I've got lots.
Socks. I recently bought some with cat faces on. I've already got about 30 pairs of socks.

I have over 100 pairs of socks, and that is after a massive clear out

Pedallleur · 13/06/2024 21:57

Expensive cheese in a nice shop with knowledgeable staff. Artisan bakeries, pens. Used to be watches and shoes. Luckily it doesn't matter now. Knew it was out of hand when I flew to Paris to have a watch strap made!!! And went to a formidable fromagerie opp Notre Dame

whyey · 13/06/2024 21:58

Duvet covers! Just love bedding! 😂

Cocopogo · 13/06/2024 22:00
