I'm pretty basic, except I have two lamps.
lamp
directional reading lamp
alarm clock
water bottle
books - up to 3, once read they are given away

I hang my corded earphones over the headboard.

Omg amazing! I would love that

My Tassimo is a game changer; I don’t sleep well so no more having to disturb DH and the dog or visitors by going downstairs.
highly recommend getting one!

HyggeTyggeDotCom · 10/06/2024 19:35

Salt lamp
couple of scented candles

My side:
Vase - empty
Candle - half melted
Hair bobble
Vaseline
Down the side is a Billy Goats Gruff book

Dp side:
Lamp
Phone charger for his and my phone
Bottle of coke

Everything else gets shoved in a drawer!

motherofawhirlwind · 10/06/2024 19:46

Lamp, watch charger. Usually a tablet and dock too but it's gone for repair. Phone when on charge.

TitInATrance · 10/06/2024 19:53

Travel cup full of water, on a fancy saucer to protect the polished surface underneath. Wooden bowl for earrings, hair grips etc.

Overnight this is joined by phone and spectacles. All other flat surfaces in the bedroom are less tidy.

😂 I must be common, because we just call it a side table!

Some people must have huge units next to their beds, with the amount they're fitting on them!

Lamp, coaster, ipad, headphones, that's it. I have all my crap in the draws underneath though!

Edited

I'm common too. 😂

I do have a large chest of drawers. Mainly because there's nowhere else for it to go; and we will be having a new fitted bedroom in the coming months.

SeatonCarew · 10/06/2024 19:01

Is that a euphemism? 🤨

I wish! 😂

I am a real neat freak so have to ensure they are all in the right order and arranged correctly otherwise will drive me mad. (There are 10 of them which were all collected over the years during our travels to the Far East.)

Thethingswedoforlove · 11/06/2024 09:41

Is a nightstand the same as a bedside table?

Haha, well, I wouldn't have it any other way! I used to have a chest of drawers next to me, too, in my last home. It was high and a nightmare to comfortably reach my cup of tea! I love my little side table, Dh doesn't have a table. He has one other those thin ikea book shelf units facing him on the wall with the tv on 🤣

SheerLucks · 11/06/2024 15:33

A lamp, a photo (of me actually - my DH placed it there ages ago!) and four stacked books. At night my glasses too.

KStockHERO · 10/06/2024 14:59

So many responses on here giving me palpitations. Too much stuff.

On the left side table is a lamp, a lumie clock, a coaster, the dog's water bowl.

On the right side table is a lamp, a coaster, a sansevieria plant.

I can't stand to have things on surfaces in the bedroom.

I agree.

I'm wondering if the posters with the most stuff spend a lot of time in bed before sleeping, watching TV etc.

I only go to bed to sleep.

TravellingSpoon · 11/06/2024 15:36

On my bedside cabinet is a lamp, my reading glasses, my book (You Are Here by David Nicholls (loving it!), magnesium tablets, my snoozeband and about 7 hair bobbles.

MWNA · 11/06/2024 20:10

Lamp
Mini dehumidifier
Huge money plant
Charging pad
4 books
Diary
Mouthwash

Cherrysoup · 11/06/2024 20:12

Photo of our wedding, 2 nail varnishes, A Necklace of Raindrops (childhood favourite), a lamp. Earplugs, I’ve given up on using them, I just move rooms when my DH starts snoring.

BoostBar · 11/06/2024 20:12

Lamp
Book
Glasses

Quie minimalist. If you open my bedside drawer, though, you’ll see who I really am 😆

evtheria · 11/06/2024 20:13

Don't have one, but I do have a stack of books and a lamp teetering on top of them Grin

AbraAbraCadabra · 11/06/2024 20:20

It's a bedside table, unless you are American.

I have too much on my bedside table too. Various hand creams etc for hand eczema, some cotton gloves for the same, a lamp, various chargers, a coaster, a book, glasses, at night it also has a bottle of water and scrunched up used tissues usually. And maybe a bowl or a plate as I sometimes need to eat it'll I can't get to sleep. Sometimes my meds get left up there having escaped from the top drawer. I do try to tidy it every morning! 😳

YouAndMeAndThem · 11/06/2024 20:20

My husband always moans about the cluttered nature of mine, I don't have a dressing table so forgive the list...

Top - Lamp, Dyson straighteners on their charging stand, tanning lotion, cleanser, toner, moisturiser, skin serums, lip balm, body moisturiser, pill box, little dish with multiple earrings, earplugs, hair bobbles in, coaster, Stanley cup, 2x cable clips - one for my phone, one for the baby listener.

Second level - large basket with claw clips, head bands, hair dryer, curling tongs, large tin with hair brushes, combs etc, jar with cotton wool pads

Third level (IE the floor!!!) - another basket with random paraphernalia in like eye masks, foot cream, sleep spray etc!

I really wish I had a dressing table now 😂😂

AbraAbraCadabra · 11/06/2024 20:21

Oh and there also a trinket dish for my rings!

Way too much!

A 'love you to the moon and back' light from my mum.
A musical box from my mum
A cross stitched hedgehog from DP.
A hedgehog mug my children bought me for mothers day. This contains loom bad bracelets they made me.
Air pods
A felted Hedgehog in a little wooden box, made my DP.
A lamp
A little Buddha in a bag from my mum to remind me of something when I was little.
A coaster
A little sign DD (10) made me which says 'believe in yourself' which she made for my first day in my job.
A wrapper I need to throw away.

From this you would assume my favourite animal is hedgehogs. Its not. But a hedgehog changed my life and without that hedgehog I wouldn't be with DP or have my 2 youngest children. So it is a reminder of how far I have come.

I am also sentimental. My bedside table is huge but full of things that have made me happy, when I am sad or don't want to get out of bed all I have to do is reach over and look at how wonderful my life is.

soundsys · 11/06/2024 20:37

Lamp, radio, water bottle, box of tissues. A stuffed owl belonging to my oldest child how has delivered me a letter. A small trinket box belonging to my youngest child. A hair bobble, lip balm, and some string (I have no idea about the string). 3 bookmarks, one made by each child. A Kindle and 6 actual books. Oh and a stuffed axolotl 😁

NeverDropYourMooncup · 11/06/2024 20:40

Sunrise alarm clock.

Earbuds.

Glasses.

As of Friday evening, a nightguard to try and stop me knackering my teeth any more than I have done already (when the dentist said 'Do you have a stressful job at all?' I almost woke up properly from the lovely rest of not actually having to talk, type or think for five minutes whilst she scraped away a bit of tartar).

I can't stand having too much stuff around me.

heidihigh · 11/06/2024 20:40

A lamp
Phone charger
AirPods
Claw hair clip
Lip oil
