I only just found out about Golden Kiwis, they are gorgeous.
I can’t stop eating them.

My mother told me about them, I had never even heard of them, I’m at the supermarket now and wondering what else am I missing out on??😁

Cheddar cheese flavoured crisps.

Think they were Tyrells.

Laoganma Crispy Chilli Oil.

I am obsessed. With eggs in any form, any time of the day or night. In a cheese sandwich, toasted or not. And anything else I can think of.

Snap. I eat it with a spoon when I don't have anything to eat it on. And regret it as it's slightly too spicy but always do it again as the salty crispy spiciness is so addictive.

I love the peanut version too.

ladygindiva · 09/06/2024 20:56

Edamame beans. Love them.

Hummous! Love the red pepper & caramelised onion varieties with breadsticks 🤤

Beetroot hummous...mmm......

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 09/06/2024 21:03

Green olives stuffed with anchovies.

Not exactly a food but a combination - crab and avocado with a smidgen of wasabi in baguettes.

Really? I've never heard anyone say that. What do they taste of? I just couldn't.

They taste of salty snot.

You're welcome.

I saw rose gold kiwis the other day and was quite intrigued. I think the gold ones taste a lot like mango.

Recently I’ve been buying the crispy duck from Sainsbury’s but cooking it a bit differently from the instructions to have it a crispy skinned roast with potatoes etc, rather using the pancakes/sauce supplied.

I've had rose gold ones, they weren't very nice (quite bland). The golden ones are lovely though.

I've just found out I like Hummus, I always thought I hated it. Had some last night and it's actually okay.

MyBigFatGreekSalad · 09/06/2024 21:14

Scrambled eggs with cottage cheese.

Mix them together before cooking and they come out really creamy and fluffy.

Really high in protein too!

KnitnNatterAuntie · 09/06/2024 21:15

Quail's eggs . . . the little children in my family are now addicted and I have to buy them every time they visit (not very often, unfortunately, due to them living a couple of counties away)

It's not a new food exactly but I discovered how good Geeta's mango chutney is when with pretty much anything. I also discovered you can make a pasta sauce out of chilli jam. Sounds bizarre, tastes amazing.

HereComesYourMam · 09/06/2024 21:22

Lentil cakes - they have a much much nicer taste and texture than rice cakes

I have mango chutney in cheese sandwiches. Can't recall how I discovered it (probably out of Branston's or something).

Artichokes. I'd never eaten them before because they look like an alien sexual organ, but oh my god they're so good. I inhaled two packs of grilled artichokes last night during movie night while husband and daughter ate popcorn and looked at me like I'd grown an extra head.

I love them on pizza

BeyondMyWits · 09/06/2024 21:26

Fish cakes with sauce in the middle. Makes a huge difference!

LadyHavelockVetinari · 09/06/2024 21:26

Mackerel for me. Don't really like fish but I could eat it everyday, on toast with avocado.

Smoked or in a tin with tomato sauce?

Good cottage cheese - Longley Farm brand. Hadn't eaten it in years because of the horrible watery stuff from supermarkets. Tried some of the full fat Longley Farm on a cracker at a food fayre and it is delicious! I used it to make salad dressings, in sandwiches and on toast with hot honey. Delicious

Edited

Yes I love this one - so rich , thick and creamy. I often have it between 2 slices of whole meal toast with a very thin scraping of Vegemite (something else I've only become addicted to in the last 6 months!).

BurntBroccoli · 09/06/2024 21:36

Vegemite! Can't get enough of the stuff!

Kate is beyond delicious - a little bit of olive oil and sea salt and airfried till crispy. Be careful not to burn - there is a small of window for it to be perfect

I think I'll try a small amount chopped up with the other greens. The trouble is the supermarket I go to only sells large bags and I'll never eat it all before it goes off.

Kale freezes really well, I just chuck the whole bag in freezer and just take out a handful, lasts for ages them big bags

gindreams · 09/06/2024 21:50

I'm so bloody greedy I feel like trying everything

This is yum in a toastie too

katmunchkin · 09/06/2024 21:54

Bagels!

Tahlullah · 09/06/2024 22:00

Cotton candy grapes, especially ice cold from the fridge. They are sublime!

Mirandasbiggestfan · 09/06/2024 22:10

I’m definitely going to try this cottage cheese! Mine would probably be siracha & the home made hot sauce you can get in our local Caribbean restaurant. I’m really getting in to hot sauce generally, I think it’s quite addictive.

Stinkerantibiotic · 09/06/2024 22:19

Looking forward to going back and reading all of these with the shopping basket open...

Mine is Waitrose roasted gardlic aioli with olive bread. Dd and I are addicted.
Also Boarders ginger biscuits.
