I'm just drinking my first cuppa, but need to move in a minute to get dressed for my nail appointment at 9am.

Me and dd1 are having our nails done ahead of our Eras night next Saturday. (Yep, I know some folks think it's stupid but I' m having fun with allll the prep!). Dd2 has some press ons coming from Etsy - hopefully they arrive in time!

After that we're heading to town for a second powerbank, a top to go with my shorts, and something else I cannot remember 🤷‍♀️ Then home to make more bracelets.

Dd1 is cooking tonight. Chicken with asparagus in a cream sauce, with tagliatelle 😋

Then it's a little bit more bedazzling dd2's shoes for me, before I take up her trousers.

So far I have had a cup of coffee and I’m half-listening to the BBC news.
DH will walk the dog in a bit and I will go and do the ironing.
Nothing planned for today so we’ll see how it goes 😊

Good morning Lucysmam, there’s plenty Taylor prep going on in our house too - my elder 2 girls are going to watch her on Thursday and they’re so excited!

Today dh has a rare Saturday off, we’re both just slobbing on the sofa with a cup of tea at the moment, the two older girls are still asleep and dd9 slept at her friend’s house across the road so it’s nice and peaceful here - all I can hear is the washing machine.

We have the Tesco shop due to be delivered in around an hour’s time and the decorator is coming this morning to finish off the wallpaper in the hall (the living room was finished yesterday then he’s starting the kitchen on Monday), I can’t wait til it’s all done and looking lovely.

I need to pop to the shop to pick up a christening card for tomorrow but that’s all that I need to do today then I’m making steak pie for dh and the dc for their tea then I’m going to my sisters for a takeaway and a catch up with a mutual friend but I’m being good and not drinking wine as I don’t want to be delicate for the christening we’re going to tomorrow!

I'm up and just about to head to parkrun. After that, I'll tidy up and do some chores. Then drop DC1 at a party, meet some friends for lunch, come home and take DC2 to a different party later this evening. Then hopefully a good meal and a chill out evening.

I have been up for a while with the cats and dog. All fed watered and played with.

Waiting for the rest of the house to wake up and I’ll make bacon rolls. DH having well deserved lie in. DD still asleep. DS playing a game next to me.

Off today. Out for a family meal tonight. Prob mooch round the house today and some housework. Working a long shift tomorrow.

It's my birthday today so to celebrate I'm taking my youngest to play football (it's currently raining) then we need to go carpet shopping. Drinks with friends this evening though which will be nice.

Am in bed with a tea thinking about waking up dd for a trial maths tutoring group. She isn't keen so it won't be an easy one this morning. I'm gathering myself.

Dog walk, housework and finding summer skirt whilst avoiding town as there's an event today which is going to make it a giant traffic jam. Going to make bath bombs later as they've been sitting on the coffee table since Christmas (typing it out here is my "now it shall be done!" push after the placements daily reminder has clearly failed).

Just about to start making some cakes, we’ve got a big party here later on. Loads needs doing, dh is having a cuppa before mowing the lawn in a bit, dc1 is at work, dc2 is at the shops getting a few missing things for the cakes. Dc3 is still in bed.

I have an entire weekend with no commitments and it's bliss. I woke at 6 happily remembering this, stayed in bed until 7 then made a pot of tea. At 8 I went down to make toast with peanut butter. It's a beautiful day here and I'll likely spend the bulk of it on the sofa reading. I'll also get out to the gym.

Wowser. That is a pretty epic Saturday 😂

Swimming lessons soon (they are in top group and today is 500m / stamina swim) then we'll head to library and local park.

Home for lunch then off to meet BIL and SiL and their little ones at a city farm for the afternoon.

Lasagne for dinner with salad and garlic bread and we're going to watch a film with popcorn later.

Cold and sunny here...looking to get the bikes out into the Pentland hills with dh and ds2. Will make a picnic to take. Coffee flasks too.

As usual I'm dressed and eager to get on, the others are mithering and schlepping.

Oh this all sounds super prep @lucysmam we don't have any girls so I can only live shoes and glitter via others!

We're celebrating our daughter's first birthday with a tea party abroad (in my home country).
I'm currently on my way to pick up the cakes and cookies since I didn't have the equipment (or the motivation 😅) to bake and cater to all the dietary requirements.
After that, we'll head to the playground with her and wait for the family to arrive. If they get here (and leave) on time 🤞, we'll visit one of the local lidos for a splash.

Morning @lucysmam you are very early this morning. Our son is having his birthday party today, it isn’t his birthday yet, but it turned out to be the best weekend to hold it on. He picked one of those ninja warrior type places, I can tell he’s a bit nervous as its the first thing he’s invited his new friends to since we moved, so he’s being a bit unkind this morning because of that.

Our daughter has stay and play this morning, normally my husband takes her but I’m going today so he can get a few things ready for the party.

No real plans for this evening, if we have time we’re going to watch the first episode of Lost boys and fairies.

Morning! We’re having a slow morning (although I guess it is only 9am). I just finished a coffee and DH and DS are gaming. We’ll make breakfast shortly.

The plan was to sort the garden out as it’s so overgrown and desperately needs doing but it just started raining…it wasn’t forecast! Wanting it done this morning as we’re off to a bbq this afternoon when hopefully the sun will come out.

Hope you have a lovely time @lucysmam TS certainly isn’t for me but it’s so nice that you’re doing all that with your daughter, she’ll always remember that.

My day is much more mundane! It’s the last day of royal Cornwall show today, and I really wanted to take my 3yo (we go every year) but my husband is working… again, and I’m not 100% as I had an injury fairly recently so don’t feel completely up to solo parenting a wild toddler for a marathon day. So instead, we’re having a lovely slow lazy morning and later we’ll meet mil for lunch at our local pub, then walk down to the nearby river to paddle and throw stones etc. Not sure who’ll be more thrilled with the river plan, my dogs or my son 😂 I expect we’ll take the horses out later this afternoon as well.

I've made waffles for the kids this morning after buying a waffe maker yesterday and them pestering me for ages. Surprise, surprise, they've not eaten them.

Later this afternoon my DH and I are going to a blackening (Aberdeenshire tradition where we throw lots of yucky smelly stuff on unsuspecting bride and groom to be a few weeks before their wedding).

I have a quiet day planned, and I’m really looking forward to it. DH is going to be out all day, and I plan to potter around, do a bit of cooking and a bit of gardening. Walk the dogs. Paint my nails 💅🏻

Good morning lucysmam and all, and congratulations tisfortired!

I am also envious of being able to do all things glittery and girly, as I had boys. However, now I have a granddaughter, I have to resist the urge to shower her with frilly frocks and sparkly things all the time…

I am getting ready for conducting a wedding later today and we have a coven meeting tonight.
So in between, I will be making some food, doing some tidying up and cleaning, including my van, which is like a very untidy room at the moment.

i won't have the energy for much more today, so I envisage lolling about with a Netflix film and some wine later on.
