Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa, but need to move in a minute to get dressed for my nail appointment at 9am.

Me and dd1 are having our nails done ahead of our Eras night next Saturday. (Yep, I know some folks think it's stupid but I' m having fun with allll the prep!). Dd2 has some press ons coming from Etsy - hopefully they arrive in time!

After that we're heading to town for a second powerbank, a top to go with my shorts, and something else I cannot remember 🤷‍♀️ Then home to make more bracelets.

Dd1 is cooking tonight. Chicken with asparagus in a cream sauce, with tagliatelle 😋

Then it's a little bit more bedazzling dd2's shoes for me, before I take up her trousers.

I'm nit very well. Nearly had to leave work early yesterday but was OK in the end. Now wrecked and will be doing feck all today. Lying on the sofa, watching Netflix and maybe doing an online grocery shop for next week. Might do some very gentle yoga too

Actually, I'm looking forward to it tbh! Need a rest

We're having a very lazy morning and are all sobbing about in pyjamas still, drinking coffee and watching cartoons.
We're getting ready in a bit to watch a parade that's going through our village today then I'm taking DD to a birthday party and DH will take DS to the park to play football for a bit.
On the way back I think we'll pop into a garden centre and get some more bedding plants for a new area I've made in the garden and then home for a chilled afternoon outside.

DD15 is going to see Taylor in Cardiff & keeps telling me that I should be able to get a ticket at the stadium on the day - well possibly yes but for vast sums I’m guessing! Not sure I could cope with the noise as the crowd always seems very loud on the TS videos DD is always showing me. I would need those special concert earplugs for sure!
Working later but not clock watching quite as much today. Think it will be busy as we have holidaymakers down now. DH is collecting DD from her GF’s this aft & picking up KFC on the way back. I’m a creature of habit & always have 2 pieces of boneless chicken with regular fries. Not sure what we’ll watch tonight now BGT has finished. Maybe a film. Have a great Saturday everyone!

I have been to Aldi and hung out the first wash while it's dry. Two coffees and a croissant have been consumed. Today I will be doing housework and washing at a slow pace while dithering in between. Last weekend was spent at an art workshop. I've added my big allium that took hours. So no painting today. I have a gammon joint in the slow cooker with lots of added goodies to make pulled gammon later. Have a good day all.

@lucysmam you are going to have to post photos of your final outfits as this is all too exciting - will you all be able to raise your arms with all the bracelets 😂. Some of the girls at work went to Edinburgh last night and the mood in the office was at fever pitch!!

I’ve been awake since 7am - DH brought me tea in bed bless him and I read the end of my book - Paper Palace - soooo good. Feel bereft now and need to find a new one!

Then DH took a call from MIL to say she’s popping by this morning (she lives 2 hours away so it’s not popping by 😂) which has turned my day plans on its head. So I jumped out of bed and did a huge blitz on downstairs for an hour.

Now back in bed with a cappuccino. I should have been collecting DD1 from a sleepover at 11am but luckily a friend will drop her back.

DD2 still asleep which I’m glad of as she was exhausted after first week back at school after our Italian holiday (we got back late last Sunday night).

We’ll take MIL to a coffee shop in the village which she loves and then this afternoon, we’ll visit my Dad. Need to get new cleaning supplies/candles/matches so will try to drop by a Home Bargains on way home.

Then I have a lovely Turkish meal night out with friends later - no idea what to wear - I meant to do fake tan last night but I was so tired from a brutal work week. So the potential one shoulder dress I was planning is out 😂

I'm sitting having a coffee with the cat and dog, they aren't drinking coffee they are sleeping! No real plans for the day.

Ds still in bed but is playing golf later.

Dd away to work, she was asked to work at the Taylor Swift concerts in Edinburgh this weekend for a stupid amount of money, refused because she can't stand to listen to her for hours 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️.

It’s the village feast today so this afternoon we’ll walk over to see what is happening. We are physically in the next village (which doesn’t have a feast) but our estate is in the parish of the first village so I feel the need to support it (plus I love a fete)!

My mother is walking up to head over with us so I’ve been doing the long neglected washing up and some tidying, which will take the rest of the morning.

I love hearing about everyone's days.

I'm still in bed! We had our sons rugby presentation last night. I didn't drink a lot during the day, so I woke up with a headache in the night. When I woke up at 9 this morning, there was a cold cup of tea, dh had made me before he left, and the house was empty, he took the boys for haircuts. So I've drunk the cold one and drunk a fresh one! It's a day of uni work for me!

I am taking it easy today after a bad migraine yesterday. Worst I have had for years and still feeling a bit fragile.

Was up early with the dog as DH hadn’t closed the curtains in the living area last night so she was awake really early as it was quite sunny first thing. So been up since 6.30.

Had a blood test at 9am so that’s done.

No plans now other than reading the papers and my book. DH is cooking Thai fried rice for dinner.

I love reading about your mornings. And I loved the allium painting it’s beautiful. Up at 5am to help DH out of the door on a long trip to a job. Packed lunch and strong coffee. Lovely bath with some salts. Fed the birds and put a wash on. Tip run to declutter, now a post-renovation clean, one of many. Friends bringing over a chicken salad later so the three of us will sit out the back with a glass of wine. Have a good Saturday everyone, and Happy Wedding Day to Tisfortired.

No real plans. Work was v intense this week so happy to relax a bit.

DD is watching Bluey while I fold and put away a mountain of laundry, DP has taken our dog and 1 year old out for a park trip.

Later on I’ve said to DD we will do some baking then we might pop round to some of her little friends to distribute the end result lol.

DD is out on her driving lesson and DS is out with friends. I've tidied their rooms and now I'm enjoying the silence.

It's been a horrendous week, I've worked about 100 hours - thanks DforE for making the new early years funding so much fun - so I plan on doing absolutely nothing today!

Might get Chinese for tea while we watch our usual crappy tv.

I have a rare weekend off so I'm currently still in my pjs scrolling MN. DD's are all upstairs in their rooms and DP is nodding off on the sofa 😂
I was planning on taking DD8 to the park but it's raining so that's ruined that plan so not sure what to do now.

OH and I still in bed as it’s a slow morning but we watched the “Welcome Home Franklin” Peanuts special on Apple+ in bed. It was so sweet and a good way to start the day.

We’re both absolutely shattered and decided to skip going to Glasgow today for the Glasgow International Art Festival. Instead we’re staying home to rest, move slowly, and focus on cleaning our bedroom. It looks like a teenager lives here even though we have no kids!

Last night I pulled a slab of pork shoulder out of the freezer and will marinate it in a Korean sauce. Not sure if we’ll have that for Sunday dinner or for tonight. There are leftovers we could likely forage for tonight’s dinner.

I'm just up after a nice wee lie in (although it was after 3am when I finally fell asleep so not like I've slept for ages). I'm the first one up in the house, the joy of DC being 16 and 20 so I'm going to go cuddle up with one of our three dogs and enjoy the peace.

I need to pop out to the post office today to send some books to a friend and then I need to write a quiz for a local group's quiz night. I've also been cat sitting for a friend while they were away for a family wedding, the cats have an automatic feeder but I've been popping in every day for cuddles and cleaning the litter tray. They're back today but I'll still probably pop up to check on the cats before then.
