Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa, but need to move in a minute to get dressed for my nail appointment at 9am.

Me and dd1 are having our nails done ahead of our Eras night next Saturday. (Yep, I know some folks think it's stupid but I' m having fun with allll the prep!). Dd2 has some press ons coming from Etsy - hopefully they arrive in time!

After that we're heading to town for a second powerbank, a top to go with my shorts, and something else I cannot remember 🤷‍♀️ Then home to make more bracelets.

Dd1 is cooking tonight. Chicken with asparagus in a cream sauce, with tagliatelle 😋

Then it's a little bit more bedazzling dd2's shoes for me, before I take up her trousers.

DD is snotty and feeling a bit ropey so I suspect it's going to be a quiet day.

Need to change the beds, do a bit of housework and do the big shop, so DH and I will take turns doing that and attending to every whim of DD.

Rosedog I know so many people who would kill to do what your DD was offered!

Hello Lucysmam and All. I’ve had flu all week and I’m still not right but have managed to make it down to the sofa and will curl up on there for the rest of the day.

@lucysmam I am not a TS fan but I love reading about all your prep and hope you and your girls have the best time.

Jealous of everyone's weekends as I've been home from hospital for 4 weeks after a bone marrow transplant. Takes up to 6 months or more to fully recover and as im totally Immunosuppressed plus still very tired, i can't go anywhere. Very frustrating
So happy to be home though. I love reading and am getting through books at the speed of light !
Starting to potter a bit. Dh has gone to get the shopping for the tea he's cooking tonight. He's been amazing through this. Ds is 18 and still in bed! Just finished college so I'm letting him be!

@lucysmam all the glittery, sparkly TSness is very alien as a mum of boys but sounds like you're having a great time!

Dh is away this weekend so I ran him to the station after my usual Saturday run. It's carnival weekend so I wandered down the road to watch the floats and will go to the carnival field in a while with ds18 to watch his girlfriend singing with her band and have a drink and a look around. There's a nice buzz around the town.
Ds14 will be there too I expect, but with his mates trying to pretend I don't exist. It's quite nice that the older one is over that and willing to be seen in public with me again!

Quiet evening for me in front of the TV (in control of the remote!) with a glass of wine. Ds1 is having an A-level revision rest day (only 1 exam to go!) so he's out tonight and ds2 will be lurking at the carnival / fair as late as he thinks he can get away with.

@mamaduckbone I think I'm enjoying myself more than the girls 🤣

Late update been down with flu for 3 days now. Been in bed all day. But I made chicken pasta for 3 year old DS for tea. Left some for myself but can't think about eating at all!

He's also in middle of potty training and I had to clean his poo stuffed pants as he "forgot" to say. I was feeling mad at DS but can't be mad as he's still learning so I transferred madness on to DH for not coming sooner to rescue cleaning!!! DS saw me getting upset and snotty while cleaning and in the most loving way said "I love you mummy". 💕

DH is ordering in curry. He offered to make tea or order something for me as he was feeling guilty probably.

It's been a nice day - I had a leisurely walk then did some browsing/shopping and got kitchen equipment, pottery and a t-shirt for summer.

Just cannot decide what to have for supper tonight though. Tonight is packing as I'm going on a short break tomorrow, then settling down to watch a film with coffee and ice cream.
