As many posters have said, Taylor sings about a lot of stuff, other than love - and ex boyfriends. A few posters have named many other subjects that hers songs feature.
One of my favourite songs is 'the best day' where she sings about her mother, and what an amazing relationship she has with her - and how wonderful it was growing up on her farm (with her dad and her brother and her mom also.) It's a lovely song!
I do piss myself laughing at people say nobody's going to be listening to Taylor Swift in 50 or 60 years.' Like somebody said 'nobody cares about Madonna.' Madonna's music - especially from the 1980s and 1990s are still being played today. 35 to 40 years later. A few songs of Madonna's songs from 43-44 years ago is still played today!
Ditto the Spice Girls. So iconic ... their music is still being played 30 years later. Kate Bush's stuff is still being played 45 years after it was first released, and yes, O. K. The Beatles stuff is still being played 50-60 years later.
In addition to Madonna, and The Spice Girls, I still hear (on the radio, AND on music shows/music programmes on TV,) songs from 35-60 years ago, by the Rolling Stones, Simon and Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, Slade, Wings, Queen, ELO, Foreigner, Heart, Cyndi Lauper, Rod Stewart, Michael Jackson, Elton John, George Michael, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Olivia Newton-John, Prince, Whitney Houston, Cher, Kim Wilde, Michael Bolton, Four Tops, Earth, Wind, & Fire, David Bowie, The Real Thing, Hot Chocolate, Bob Marley, Blondie, and many MANY other acts that started out in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.
Not a week goes by when I don't hear a song by one of these acts..... 100s of songs by multiple dozens of bands and artists - some from 50 to 60 years ago ... still regularly played.
Why anyone would think that nobody's going to be listening to Taylor Swift 50-60 years after she first became famous as popular just eludes me! Of course people will still be listening to her. Do people even look at what they write on here, before clicking POST?! 😆
