A not very near neighbour yelling, she's been at it since 5.30am on and off. I don't know how she still has stuff to yell about or how her voice is still going.

johnworf · 02/06/2024 14:20

My cockerel, Terry Tibbs, cockadoodling to his dad who is in the next field.

The bamboo swishing in the wind. A tractor going up the lane far too fast.

Yes I think so

Thanks ever so much , it is free and working great

RagzRebooted · 02/06/2024 14:22

Various lots of children either screeching or playing, someone using a power tool, nextdoor playing music, something clattering a few gardens down, birds, dogs.
We are incredibly overlooked and have a lot of gardens very close together with quite high density of people considering it's a fairly small village. I don't use my garden much and it's a mess, but am currently sat on my bed with the window open. I can see into about 6 gardens from here and at least 5 houses can see me as we're lower down.

BlueJamSandwich · 02/06/2024 14:23

Techno and talking from one side, power tools over the back. When the music pauses I can hear from three doors down what sounds like the happiest toddler in the world laughing and playing.

hartlyren · 02/06/2024 14:29

My noisy kids.
A trendy dance class in the studio across from our house.
Music from the pub down the road.

BobnLen · 02/06/2024 14:37

All the lawn mowers seem to have started up now

Olderandwider66 · 02/06/2024 14:42

Nowt but the breeze in the trees and our very chatty blackbird and birdsong - bliss !

TheDogsMother · 02/06/2024 14:43

Birds, buzzing things and kids next door laughing. It's nice.

DiscoBeat · 02/06/2024 14:44

Birds. Three Dakotas just flew overhead 10 mins ago.

TheaBrandt · 02/06/2024 14:46

Silence except bird song. The occasional quiet comment from our retired neighbours about their gardening plans. Bliss. We used to live next to hellish chavs which makes me appreciate this even more.

Nopetynoppy · 02/06/2024 14:46

Birds, lawnmower, helicopter and planes coming into Gatwick…not too loud .

Aw, that's nice about Terry Tibbs. I never think of cockerels, or any birds for that matter, having mums & dads as such - thought they just fledged and flew away!

Crikeyalmighty · 02/06/2024 14:56

Someone mowing their lawn and birds

OneThreadOnly · 02/06/2024 14:59

Birds, noise from inside my house, cars.

embolass · 02/06/2024 15:02

Birds tweeting, my washing machine draining, cars and the breeze through all my trees and bushes oh and a motorbike roaring past 🙄

HelterSkelter224 · 02/06/2024 15:05

Next door younger kid agonising older kid getting screamed at by his mum

I guess most livestock and pets for that matter, are separated from their parents. I took Terry as he was being bullied by his dad but they like to keep in touch by shouting to each other 😂😂

mitogoshi · 02/06/2024 15:14

Seagulls, next door playing quietly, she's talking to her teddies, there's a car revving in the distance or potentially it's a speed boat, all sound like engines to meGrin

EasternStandard · 02/06/2024 15:20

Loads of birds

Some people talking a few doors down but not close by

Rebusmyfire · 02/06/2024 15:27

I can hear the birds . Some are sat in my huge holly tree. A lot of tweeting and song. And a heron from the woods just passed over, looking for fish ponds.

I can can also hear (but trying to block) a neighbour shouting at her adult son that he didn't get the chicken out of the freezer or the pudding so "there won't be any bloody meal tonight, cos you are a lazy pathetic excuse of a man" Which does have some truth to it. They only speak in mega loud volume next-door.

I am praying the hot-tub isn't making an appearance (oh yes I hate the noisy fucker, it makes them shout louder over the noisy pump).

Dearg · 02/06/2024 15:36

Late 50s / early 60s pop music. Its not loud but oh dear god, my neighbour has shit taste in music.

Pablosdog · 02/06/2024 15:45

Birds singing, our chickens clucking, water cascading from the fountain in our pond and the wind in the trees. Perfect.

I've got a variety of tits, blackbirds, swifts and skylarks.

Last week, my app also told me I was listening to a barn owl. It was mid afternoon and I didn't think so. I think the app sometimes gets it wrong.

Merlin told me I had a Marsh Harrier this morning. It was a Whatsapp notification on DH's phone that it had picked up and misinterpreted 😆

Lots of birds and the wind in the trees. Our new neighbour hasn’t started his industrial chipper up yet though.
( maybe he will fall into it? Only joking. Ish)

That made me laugh! I'm very grateful my neighbour hasn't started up.his digger today.

He has been digging in his garden for 3 years now. It seems to be his hobby. Sometimes he gets out and leaves it running. Maybe one day it will run him over. Only joking...

I can hear rooks. We have a rookery. Rooks are a pain.
