DH and DS went to the park to play football a few hours back. I've done some housework and put all the washing away (three lots!) and I'm now relaxing with an early G&T ready for them to return and DH to make dinner - chicken souvlaki and pittas 👍🏻👍🏻

DH and I are just about to go out and meet friends for drinks. I'm coming down with a cold but I'm going to power through it! 🙂

DP and I have just eaten dinner, DD is vacuuming the living room with her toy hoover and DS is in the garden playing with mega blocks.

Once the kids are in bed I need to repaint the kitchen, dining room and master bedroom, DP will probably game for the evening.

Your dinner sounds lush! I’ve just been in town buying bits and pieces to sort out storage in my kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer. I walked as it was so nice and now have stopped for a cheeky glass of wine on the way home because when I get in I am blitzing it! Cheers! 🥂

Can’t you tell DP that helping you paint will be kind of a game, only reality reality instead of virtual reality?!

I’m sitting in the garden with a pint of water and some cherries (bit bland, too early still really, I was overly optimistic!). Dh and ds have just finished watching a football match, dh is marinating meat for the bbq later on, ds is playing pool and chanting because his team won.
dc1 is home from uni next week and dc2 is at her boyfriends. House is pretty quiet (apart from the chanting!), lovely and peaceful in the garden, no one is mowing a lawn, I can’t hear any music, talking or dogs - this is a rare moment!!

DH has just finished watching the Cup Final and is now on the laptop trying to find us a summer holiday. DD2 is in her room sorting outfits ready for a school trip abroad after half term, she'll be chilling the rest of the evening it's been a full on half term. DD1 has just got home from her night out last night, she's currently in the shower then said she's going to bed after dinner 🙄 I've just got the washing off the line, got three loads done and dry as the weather is looking a bit iffy for the next few days and I'm now sitting in the garden enjoying the sun on the new sun loungers we went out earlier to pick up before doing a pizza and pasta dinner.

Havin' a blast. Chilling in the garden and enjoying relaxing in the sun after a long stressful week.

Just on the phone to my mum for our daily catchup with the dog snoozing beside me. DH painting the utility room, dc1 in work, dc2 moved away, dc3 in work and going straight out, dc4 here studying. Did some housework and laundry but not a lot. We're having a takeaway for dinner as there's only three of us. Weather miserable here but had a very hectic week so glad to just relax today

I am watching Midsomer Murders and contemplating what to have for dinner. Probably pork chops. DH is putting his shoes on ready to go for a short walk. Cats are lying in furry humps in random places, either in or out of sun according to personal preference.

Sat in the living room enjoying a bit of peace and quiet while the several children my daughter has collected throughout the day eat Mac n cheese and watch a film. They've been in the garden screaming and throwing water balloons on and off for the last couple of hours so the quiet is nice.

I spotted an elderly neighbour struggling with her shopping so have been to help her. Have cleaned my bathroom and tidied my bedroom. Then I did some planning for June in my journal and have done some knitting. I am watching Lark Rise to Candleford box set for about the fourth time . . . one of my favourite series ever

Just deciding what time we should have tea, fish and chips and whether we have enough bread for a chip butty. Would prefer a bbq but it’s been raining all day.

Sorry to those of you with crap weather, it’s been pretty dire here all week so feel very lucky to have some sunshine today. Rain again for the next week forecast 😫 Monday looks dreadful.

DH and FIL are just tidying up after laying new turf in our garden, me and MIL are going to collect a Chinese then we're all going to have a chilled evening.

I am happy that I got some washing out on the line today though!

I don't want him to help, I enjoy painting, plus he just gets in the way 🤣 plus he's already cut the grass today, cooked dinner and vacuumed the carpets. I can watch him game whilst I paint, it's something we both enjoy.

Just come out of the shower, having been to the beach this afternoon. The wind made the sea choppy and it was more bloody freezing refreshing than expected, so a warm shower was needed. Ds is cooking dinner so I can just make my way to the couch and watch some crap TV on this gorgeous Saturday night :)

DH has gone to visit a friend, DS10 is out on his bike with a friend and DS12 is out playing football with a friend. DD is out as usual, and DS18 is at the gym. I’ve done the meal planning for the week, walked to 2 supermarkets to buy the weeks food and very briefly pottered in the garden, then had a nap as I’m not feeling too well.Boy-cat joined me. I’m now sat outside with a drink enjoying the last of the sunshine before tomorrow’s thunderstorms. I’ll make dinner for around 9 when everyone is home.

Dp and I relaxing before heading out to see Punt and Dennis. We had a high-achieving day as we cleared out and reorganised the shed, plus got various things that have broken over the past 48 hours to a range of repair sites. Then I made pasta puttanesca and we had a glass of wine in the sun.

I'm planning a picnic for tomorrow. DP is cooking lamb kebabs and opening a bottle of wine.
