Same.

It's good to know, not everyone has lost their mind.

@disaggregate

Starmer is really really up to the job of PM more than Sunak/BoJo/Truss

Starmer, up to the job, don't make me laugh.

namethisbird · 22/05/2024 22:43

Conservatives

Can you not read the title of the thread? The OP literally asked who people were voting for. This is an anonymous forum. People have answered.

I can read. My point was that starting a thread asking people how they are going to vote and quickly telling people it's labour, is a very labour voter thing to do.

VelvetTurtle · 22/05/2024 22:45

Labour, would never vote for anyone else.

StripedPiggy · 22/05/2024 22:47

Labour.

If ever a government deserved to be kicked out of office, it’s these corrupt incompetent Tories.

HopefulQn · 22/05/2024 22:50

bobbyrt · 22/05/2024 21:02

Lib dem or hold my nose and Tory

I'll listen to Labour but VAT on private school fees and rights of women are too key for me to vote for them. I also fear what they might do to childcare support the Tories just brought in 🤷‍♀️

One million percent this!

Undecided.
Why is Labour so popular? What is it that you think they will do differently that will change things?
why are people treating this like a two horse race?
Is Angela Rayner really up to the job of Deputy PM??

Have a listen to this interview with her. https://uk-podcasts.co.uk/podcast/leading/50-angela-rayner-from-zero-gcses-to-britain-s-most

I was not that taken by her but she comes across so articulate, intelligent and passionate.

50. Angela Rayner: From zero GCSEs to Britain’s most powerful woman?

50. Angela Rayner: From zero GCSEs to Britain’s most powerful woman? – Leading

Could Labour still lose the next election? What really went wrong under Jeremy Corbyn? What do the left actually think of the right?

I have no idea I’m in Scotland, hate the Tories and everything they stand for.

SNP are destroying our country. Labour are useless, anyone else is a wasted vote.

The anti-English anti-Tory bias will probably win through again and turn most of the country SNP yellow again though.

SpindleyDindley · 22/05/2024 22:51

Are the Monster Raving Loonies making a come back? If not I will draw a hairy arse on my ballot.

TooBigForMyBoots · 22/05/2024 22:51

TicketQ · 22/05/2024 19:24

I’m reasonably old, with clear memories of the last Labour government. So I will vote Conservative, albeit extremely reluctantly.

Who did you vote for in the last 4 elections @TicketQ ? And why are you reluctantly voting Tory this time?

eurochick · 22/05/2024 22:51

No idea. I'm politically homeless.

Tories - corrupt, flailing, need to go
Labour - Starmer is blancmange and the rest of the shadow cabinet is uninspiring. Plus there are some far left Corbynistas left
Lib Dem - nonentities. Have no idea what a woman is
Greens - with the effects of climate change starting to be felt this should be their time, but they have disappeared up their own fundament over identity politics
Reform - right wing nut jobs

I had been hoping for new Centrist party to be formed before the next election but I fear time has run out for that.

BringMeSunshineAllDayLong · 22/05/2024 22:53

Labour. Don't love Starmer but he is 1000% better than Sunak or any of the other five (yes five!!) prime ministers we've had in the last 14 years. They have actually wrecked our country.

katebushh · 22/05/2024 22:55

Think I'll decide on the day as usual, never ever Tory tho obvs.

tiggergoesbounce · 22/05/2024 22:55

CelesteCunningham · 22/05/2024 22:58

I don't understand those who give out about Starmer's lack of charisma. I don't give a shit if the PM has charisma. I want someone who will take it seriously, is able to take in vast amounts of information for process it, understand what they're being told and have some moral fortitude. If they can have charisma too then great, it'll help matters, but please dear god can we just have someone competent.

jf1992x · 22/05/2024 22:58

Labour... but for the sole reason of getting tories out. Don't like any of em

I cannot see Angela Rayner on the international stage, she has a mouth like a sewer....Tories are well past their sell by date, so sick of being dictated too...eat this, don't eat that, don't put your heating on unless your lips turn blue, drive electric cars that cost a fortune....climate this, that & the other, what a load of crap...sure the climates changing, it has, everyday, since, whenever, but there's no emergency, just another way of getting more money from us all...the biggest con ever.....

Starmer, up to the job, don't make me laugh.

I'm laughing at the idea that he wouldn't be better than Truss/Johnson/Sunak. I mean today - Sunak goes out in the pouring rain, announces Starmer has no plan (while not even checking the weather forecast) to the sounds of Labour's landslide theme tune - cut to Starmer who details his plan (and doesn't have water dripping down his suit). It was yet another piece of hilarious political ineptitude on the part of the Tories.
I really don't think the party that lied about Brexit and dragged the country through hell with it, oversaw the Windrush scandal, allowed sewage be pumped into the waterways, allowed their mates get rich on PPE that didn't actually function, has seen a massive increase in child poverty - and so on - are fit to govern, and I imagine come 5th July Starmer will be on his way to Downing Street.

Hillcrest2022 · 22/05/2024 23:01

Used to canvas for Lib Dems but they're no good in power so Labour this time!

TooBigForMyBoots · 22/05/2024 23:02

Whoever is my best bet of removing my incumbent MP. It probably won't work, but I love worrying the fucker.Grin

I'm with you on the competent bit
It's a low bar really. I'll take vaguely competent at this point

Dakotabluebell · 22/05/2024 23:04

Labour.

Starmer is working class, and if he's too middle of the road - good. We need a centrist government rather than the current far right shitshow tories. We've all got too used to loudmouth gobby politicians who think you need to shout the loudest and kneejerk react. It's about time we had some balance.

Also let's not forget who was partying in lockdown while the rest of us had to watch our relatives die over fucking video calls.
