Women are better than men...discuss

Evidence:

Number 1
The guy I've been seeing for over 2 years made a personal joke via message that really missed the mark yesterday morning. My response was clear I wasn't impressed. Instead of replying immediately, he left it until this morning to apologise. His reason was that he was just off to see someone he hadn't seen for years, he was focused on that, and wanted to give a reply the consideration it deserved. He "didn't think" of a quick response of "I'm sorry, chat later".

Women would hate to think they'd upset their friend and would immediately apologise, right? I would not be able to focus on the meet up, knowing I'd upset someone and hadn't apologised for doing so.

Number 2

I was married 20 years. Divorced 3. My ex husband has decided that buggering off to live in the US with his new "fiancée" (aka holiday romance he has spent 20 real life days with) while his daughter does her A levels and goes to university is a good idea. When we split, he didn't buy a property with a bedroom for her, as she said she didn't want to live with him. (He cheated repeatedly, so she was hurting when she said that) She sees him about twice a year.

Women would never leave the country with their children at such a critical time. Women would buy a property with a bedroom for their child, to show them they were always welcome and hoping they would change their mind. Women would pursue their daughter rather than get cross with them for not seeing them.

Number 3

A male friend told me about ex buggering off. He then witters on about his daughter maybe being interested in buying said property, but how she doesn't have a clue about how expensive property is.

Women would have registered my surprise and checked in with the concerned mother to help them process how this news would affect her children.

This is just from today.

Any more examples where you can show women are better than men?

Example #1 seems like good boundaries to me. He upset you, had plans, and wanted to carefully consider and apologize when he could.

Seriously, complain about men, lumped them all together even if you have to, hate on them if that makes you feel better.
But let’s not pretend that women are so amazing.

We’re not.
I’ve been mistreated worse by girls/women, than I ever have been by boys/men.
I know I’m not the only one.

You've bunched women and men into homogenous groups here.

My MiL doesn't fit any examples and neither does my own mother. Both act totally in self interest and have left their children at varying essential stages in life. Neither apologises for anything at all. Let alone in a timely way. Neither could meet their child's needs or fulfill the "maternal role.

I know loads of shit people/parents. A mix of men and women.

I probably wouldn't fit your example 1 either. 🤔 I just don't agonise over stuff like that.

Of course not. Men are very good at being men and women are good at being women. Men can be more selfish and single minded which lends itself to greater success in any pursuit. Most of my favourite authors, musicians, poets, comedians are men. I love very many men.

I would agree that overall women are better FOR men than men can be FOR women.

I also think there is a massively higher ratio of impossible men than impossible women. Again they TEND to the extreme and we TEND to the reasonable.

I choose not to have one in my life personally. 🙂

If I upset a friend, I'd be trying to repair, not make things worse. The female friends I'm surrounded by would be exactly the same.

Any "friend" who dug their heels in would not stay a friend for long.

I would argue women are better than men because they are significantly less likely to murder, sexually assault or physically attack men. Women are less likely to think they have the right to treat men this way.

It does also seem to be the case that more men than women will walk away from their children when a relationship breaks down/faill to support them.

And that typically in a family situation men are less likely to be hands on with house work/mental load.

I think we see the patriarchy at work more as we get older...in pretty much everything we come across. You can never unsee it after youve identified it. Personal experiences obviously have us looking for the dickheads..EVERY man will have patriarchal entitlement, some just dont know it, because they are used to it and that entitlement serves them well.
