Women are better than men...discuss

Evidence:

Number 1
The guy I've been seeing for over 2 years made a personal joke via message that really missed the mark yesterday morning. My response was clear I wasn't impressed. Instead of replying immediately, he left it until this morning to apologise. His reason was that he was just off to see someone he hadn't seen for years, he was focused on that, and wanted to give a reply the consideration it deserved. He "didn't think" of a quick response of "I'm sorry, chat later".

Women would hate to think they'd upset their friend and would immediately apologise, right? I would not be able to focus on the meet up, knowing I'd upset someone and hadn't apologised for doing so.

Number 2

I was married 20 years. Divorced 3. My ex husband has decided that buggering off to live in the US with his new "fiancée" (aka holiday romance he has spent 20 real life days with) while his daughter does her A levels and goes to university is a good idea. When we split, he didn't buy a property with a bedroom for her, as she said she didn't want to live with him. (He cheated repeatedly, so she was hurting when she said that) She sees him about twice a year.

Women would never leave the country with their children at such a critical time. Women would buy a property with a bedroom for their child, to show them they were always welcome and hoping they would change their mind. Women would pursue their daughter rather than get cross with them for not seeing them.

Number 3

A male friend told me about ex buggering off. He then witters on about his daughter maybe being interested in buying said property, but how she doesn't have a clue about how expensive property is.

Women would have registered my surprise and checked in with the concerned mother to help them process how this news would affect her children.

This is just from today.

Any more examples where you can show women are better than men?

Here you go OP - evidence to support your theory.

I don't think you know what "evidence" means.

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/05/2024 10:19

We’re all responsible for the company we keep. Have you told your boyfriend how you feel about men? Only fair to let him know.

I don't think you know what a sense of humour is.

That's when something is funny isn't it?

Did I really just read a poster comparing a man to a Labrador?! Imagine if a man compared a woman to a dog, for fucks sake!
No women are not better than men. Men are not better than women. There are shit example or each and good examples of each. Seek out the good. This absolute bullshit that men are the worst of society drives me mad - I have truly wonderful men in my life. Yes I've known some bastards, but I've also known worse women!

So, how do you explain the prison numbers then? The absent fathers? The divorce rate instigated by women? The patriarchy?

We are talking about at population levels, not individuals.

FastAquaDog · 20/05/2024 10:28

Your 1st example just made me think maybe men are better than women in not stressing the hell out that they just might have upset someone with a joke and panicking about immediately having to apologise and make amends 🤔

The rest is just waffle and assumptions that women just wouldn't do the same thing as men in those scenarios and are therefore 'better'. But some women do do those things and they're not particularly effective gauges of who is 'better' or not.

Again choose better sleeping partners and there may be less absent anything

MrsSkylerWhite · 20/05/2024 10:30

What a silly thread. People are individuals, male or female.

arethereanyleftatall · 20/05/2024 10:33

Riiiiiiggghhht @SpringerFall . So, follow that process along in your mind. 'Choose better sleeping partners' ....because there's less good ones available?!? I think you accidentally proved the opposite to what you intended.

TwattyMcFuckFace · 20/05/2024 10:36

Such a childish playground thread OP. I'm surprised you're not cringing.

I did to my ex and he agreed with me...and my brother agrees...he is glad his daughter is homosexual... because he said ' men are twats...im one'

Cocopogo · 20/05/2024 08:42

Better is a catch all term.

Men are better at sports

Women are better at humanity and compassion as the demograph of crime would show and a lot of women’s crime is because a man made her do it

Or a lot of women say a man made them do it to garner sympathy and absolve or reduce their culpability.

Men are absolutely more violent, commit more violent crimes etc but there's a significant minority of dangerous women who society and MN in particular want to see as victims when they were very much responsible for their own behaviour and crimes.

Less absent fathers and multiple baby daddy's or whatever kids are calling it these days

arethereanyleftatall · 20/05/2024 10:39

Some of the responses on this thread are such own goals!!

Blaming women for choosing shit men!!! Exactly!!! There's too many shit ones. That's the point.

Individuals are individuals but there are general trends in society which are worth noting

MrsSkylerWhite · 20/05/2024 10:45

Sure. Personally, I don’t know any awful men. Any I have, I cut out.

Yes but you can surely see that in society men are more likely to commit violent/sexual crimes. They are more likely to be an absent parent...etc

MrsSkylerWhite · 20/05/2024 10:45

Ok. So how many men have you cut out compared to how many women you have?

MrsSkylerWhite · 20/05/2024 10:51

@Comedycook

Yes, of course. That’s why I cut out abusive father and brother decades ago. Since then, I have genuinely only come across one or two horrible men, the vast majority have been good people.
Perhaps my early experiences taught me to avoid the bad ones?

Fair enough. What do you think the percentages would be at a population level?

For the defence:

Number 1
There is no requirement, legal moral or otherwise to respond to text messages instantly. Text is NOT conversation.

Number 2
He's your Ex. So long as he carries out what's required under the divorce settlement, he's done his duty as far as you are concerned. How being in the same country would have any affect on your DD's exam results, I do not understand.

Number 3
How much real interest was his DD actually showing? Perhaps it was just a vague intention/daydream? Why bother her mother with it?

Your ladyship, the defence rests.
