Anyone staying up to try and glimpse the Aurora Borealis?

Getting stronger in Cambridgeshire!

We are in Bedfordshire so thought we'd be too far south. But we ventured up onto Ivinghoe Beacon (along with half the county, it seemed).

Couldn't really see anything with the naked eye, nor through the camera really, but took a few photos, "just in case".

Not spectacular, but more than I've ever seen in my life before.

Tomorrow, it's said, could be 30% brighter.

For anyone not sure what to tweak on their camera, if you have an iPhone:

open your camera
tap the v at the top of the screen
tap the yellow half moon icon at the bottom of the screen
slide the exposure to the max (10 seconds)

Sadly a neighbour 5 doors away has illuminated the vicinity with his flood light (presumably to look for the AB) so nothing is visible now 😞.
