Anyone staying up to try and glimpse the Aurora Borealis?

I'm South East, but it's on my bucket list to see it in real life 🤞🏽.

I've been outside and then to my upstairs windows and nothing . I will just enjoy everybody else's photos.

Is it just tonight or will it be visible tomorrow too?

If you try taking a picture on your phone (hold it super still/rest on the window frame) you might see more on the photo than with your eyes! What happened here 😊

I’m jealous

I'm in NZ and didn't know anything about this - until I saw the absolutely gorgeous photos people around here posted on Facebook this morning. The sky was the most amazing shade of red. (Aurora Australis obviously)

I wish my mum was still alive! She lived in the south east and was always hopeful that she’d see the aurora. I’m in Cornwall too @Marylou62 but further west than you, and when I went out just now it did look like there was a faint red glow on the edge of my phone camera picture, but I’m in a town and there’s too much pollution plus the neighbours have their outside lights on 🙄. Might go for another look in a bit.

I’m in Cambridgeshire, I’ve taken these pics (with an iPhone 12) in the last half an hour. It’s not visible to the naked eye yet but if you turn up the exposure on your camera to the maximum it will pick it up.

Gone green now here. Wow. I can def see a sort of glowy line with naked eye. I’m setting my alarm to check again later!
